Independent Wedding Planner or Wedding Planner affiliated to a resort? That is the question!

Hello,

 

You probably already heard this but I am the worst when it comes to weddings...I have absolutely no clue where to start, never gave oen single thought to weddings, dresses and all of that growing upuntil this point; Now i am faced with a wedding to think about and plan...

My first question to you all experts is this:

 

Charly and i are getting married in Jamaica, (destiation wedding) that much we know, however I am not sure whether we should fnd an independent Wedding Planner who will help us choose the resort or villa and plan from there or shold i do the work of figuring out whic resort or villa first and get a planner that comes with that particular resort.

 

Any thoughts on that? Any pros and cons you ladies could share?
