Wedding at Na Balam on Isla Mujeres

Hello!  Has anyone had a wedding recently at Na Balam on Isla Mujeres?  We are planning a wedding for either Feb or May of 2012, for around 70-95 people.  We want to all stay together at a hotel where we can sort of "take over" and be the only guests, nothing too big and resort like.  Na Balam looks great, but I am feeling a bit uneasy as we have never been there and might not get a chance to before we have to book it.  We would love advice on the best time of year to go, what people think of Na Balam, are mosquitos an issue- also how is the downtown life?  All advice welcome!

Did you ever end up booking this hotel? I also want to have a "buy out" or rent a more private space and this hotel looks perfect. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I am also considering Na Balam!  I was all go until i heard from one of the island coordinators that their management has changed many times and could be difficult...I have also seen 1 or 2 reviews of happy brides who had their wedding their.  I tried to find ways to reach out to them but have had no luck.  Na Balam has the exact look and feel that we are looking for, I just want to make sure we will have the service we need for our reception of 75-100.   It was recommended to consider Zama Beach Club for a similar vibe although more eco-chic than the eco-rustic Na Balam.  If you have any updated info please share!  Our wedding will be November 24, 20112 :-)
