White or Ivory? Advice needed!

Recommended Posts

Hey ladies, Since planning this wedding I realize I can NOT make any decisions without over analyzing everything. lol!

I am trying to figure out what color to get for my dress. White, Ivory/Pewter Accent?

If FI wears a white shirt & I get ivory will my dress look dirty in pics? Or if I go with white will it look too bright?

Anyone have any thoughts or what they are doing.

Still haven't had the dress moment but I am pretty sure I am going with this dress since I can't stop thinking about it & am comparing everything I try on to it.

Personally, I would want to be consistent - both in ivory or both in white. Depending on the shades, it could possibly make your dress look yellow compared to his white shirt.

Just my opinion, but I always say "go with your gut" on decisions like this!! It will be a beautiful day regardless of the shade - but hopefully you'll have some shade so you wont be too hot (haha sorry I'm a bit punny today LOL)

BTW, that dress is STUNNING!

My dress is white and  my FI will be wearing a white shirt as well, then that way it will be consistent and look the same in pictures.

Actually you should base the dress color on your skin tone versus what your groom is wearing. A white dress can really wash out someone who is very pale, therefore they need to go with Ivory. But a white dress looks fabulous with a tan! Try on a dress (any dress really) in both colors to see which one complements your skin tone better.
