Cruise wedding with children

I am helping my friend plan her destination wedding.  She would really love to have a cruise wedding.  Both sisters will have 10month old babies (and a 3yr old) at the time of the cruise.  We've found that all cruiselines charge the same amount no matter the age.  She can't imagine having her siblings pay that much for an infant.   Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?

If I'm not mistaken it doesn't matter the age of the traveler the cruise fare is based on occupancy.  I haven't heard of any other way around this.  The only flexibility for the younger children would be the amount you pay in gratuity as you can adjust it if you like.

From our experience booking a few months ago, on Carnival, kids under 2 are free. After that they are the standard fare. We have a three year-old coming on our cruise wedding and she is priced at a third person in the stateroom (her parents being the first two).

What cruise line will you be on? I'd call them to make sure.
