Photo Souvenir told me I do not need to book an appointment. Is this standard?

Hi All!

We will be getting married at Punta Cana's Excellence Resort and Severita said (in regards to photos):

"We are always available at excellence. I will forward the updated price list. There is no big change in price but new options.WE don't require deposit.Please get back to us to confirm your package when you get the new list and you will confirm everything again when you arrive here """. " This makes me a little nervous as most legit photographers book up fast and alwats require at least an appointment. Have any of you had this same experience with them? Is this standard? Thanks!! Tammy,

I am using Photo Souvenir as well. They were a bit slow with response time and a bit almost carefree at first. It took a bit more repetitive emails then I was comfortable with. But once I got my deposit in and selected my packages, they were quick to respond and super helpful.

My wedding is in just a few days now so if you have any questions about the process with Photo Souvenir, I'm happy to answer as best as I can!

Hi Tammy,

I had emailed with Photo Souvenir a bit as well. I am not staying at your resort but I believe they may be the resort photographer for the Excellence in which case they are in fact always available. Not sure if you have a WC at the resort but I would suggest emailing them to see how you go about confirming. I agree with what you're saying so I would follow up about securing your date and package etc. Better safe than sorry.

Ps. Their pictures look beautiful I am sure you will be really happy!!!

We were getting married at the Excellence and ran into the same thing. I was told don't stress! Since Photosouvenior is the resort photography commpany the resort has them already for your event. They are a group of 3 photographers so one is always covering the weddings (as there's only one a day there) and the other two can work weddings off site if they're not needed at the resort.
