Has anyone used the rectangle tables Dreams provides? We are doing family style seating (one long row of rectangle tables, seating on both sides) at our wedding and I am looking to purchase table clothes and make table runners. Magda quoted the table sizes at 94.5 inches by 48.4 inches. Just wanted to see if anyone else had table sizes or feedback in bringing their own linens to Dreams. Thank you!

I actually stayed at Dreams in Dec 2007.. if you walk about 20 minutes down the beach to the Hilton Hotel the beach is swimmable there - still a lot of waves and strong water so if you aren't a good swimmer/ young/ old etc you need to be careful. But the beach at the Hilton is safe to go in.

Does Dreams charge a minimum 3 night stay or anything in order for us to not pay the external vendor fee (if there is one)? Thanks!

Hey McLecker - did you ever find out about this? I also want to bring a photographer down with me.. but mine is coming from Toronto and planning on staying for almost the week - if he is a guest will there be no extra charge? Thanks!!

Hey Alanak - If he is a guest - there is no extra charge. It's just if vendors are coming for the day. Pheuff!

Hey Dreams Brides!

I am in the process of booking DJ Ricardo, and was curious if anyone is going to have their DJ play music during the ceremony or just use a play list? Determining my budget but ore importantly if the music will even be heard while having a ceremony on the beach. Has anyone heard feedback on this?

Thank you!

I am in teh process of booking him too. He is setting up before the ceremony but we are using my ipod for the music. Apparently with the speaker system, we should be all good. They are pros.

Question regarding resort requested attire at the restaurants within Dreams. Any feedback from former Dreams Brides about the attire policy? I have details on requested attire at each restaurant, but curious how closely it is followed. Determining a restaurant for a Newlywed Send Off Brunch the day after our wedding as we are looking for a restaurant with a casual setting and attire. Was thinking El Patio or Seaside Grill. Any thoughts, especially from people who have stayed and dined at Dreams? Thank you!

The attire policy wasn't very strictly inforced when we were there.

The very last picture in my Dreams photo tour is me at the Seaside Grill.  It was my favorite place to eat!  But it's really not very large.  So depending on the size of your group, you will probably end up at El Patio.  It's a lot larger restaurant and can be sectioned off.  Plus with the lighting at night it's just gorgeous (you can see it in the photo tour as well). And that's definitely a casual dress code.  I wore sun dresses and my husband wore slacks, but there were people who were even more casual than that.  And that's for dinner.

For brunch, it's DEFINITELY casual.  I still think El Patio will be the better bet.  More private and you won't have kids playing in the pool right next to you.

for most of the restaurants for dinner the policy is: No flip flops or swim trunks.

for Portofino the dress code for dinner is the strictest and people tend to dress up but even if you just avoid flip flops and the guys wear close shoes and no shorts they should be fine.

Thank you Trisha and Tammy for your feedback. Trish, your picture tour was awesome. Really helpful to get an idea of what everything looks like. I think I have settled on El Patio for our morning after brunch. I read on the Dreams Los Cabos Facebook page that the resort relaxes the dress code during the summer months and is okay with leather sandals and "elegant" shorts for the men at Portofino. I think we're asking anyone attending our rehearsal dinner at Portofino to wear dress pants, collared shirts, and leather sandals or shoes. Thank you again ladies!

Oooh I hadn't thought about a morning after brunch. We are staying for a full week with our guests (sunday to sunday but getting married on the tuesday) but that might be kind of fun to get everyone togeether. Do you mind sharing what you are planning your for that? Are you inviting everyone from your guest party?
