Beautiful! And you looked gorgeous! I'm glad someone posted a pic with a dress that has cling detail like in your sash. I was worried of my dress and my brooch bouquet being a bit much since my dress has crystal heading on the bust

Ok, I made mine for my wedding....kind of. I prepared all of the brooches ahead of time and then showed my florist a pic of the original brooch/flower bouquet on here. It came out EXACTLY like I wanted, but be warned, my arm was tired of holding it after all the pic, dang it was heavy. All of my guests loved it. It was so unique and added that extra bling I was looking for. I got all of my brooches off eBay. I stuck to the advice of setting a price limit. I got each of mine for $4 or less. I also made some from my BM's bouquets. For theirs I got them each a starfish and then one thing that reflected their personality - I wound up getting these from Michaels in the necklace/bead section.

I'm so glad you posted this with some places to get the best brooches.  I found a picture of a gorgeous brooch bouquet on pintrest and am trying to make my own.  I have gotten 2 so far from Michael's and Penney's as well as a pearl covered button from JoAnn's.  I was wondering where to find more brooches without spending an arm and a leg and you helped with that!  I'm going to goodwill and value village tomorrow to see what I can find but will be saving your thread so I know where else to get some and how to make the bouquet once I get all 30-40!

Awesome! Definitely set a "per brooch limit" for yourself so that the average ends up within budget. Let me know if I can help at all, and post up your pics when you're done!! Can't wait to see what you come up with! cheer2.gif

I bought most of these from fabulousbrooche.com which I discovered because of this page.  A few are from ebay and 4 from Joanns and Michaels.  I am waiting on a Christmas package from my mom that will have some that she picked up and I have one coming from China (ebay) that is purple.  The reason for the single colored brooch is that purple is the grooms birthstone.  Anyway, I will post photos when it is done.  Thanks to everyone that has posted on here.  I was confident in my ability to put this together because of everyone else's postings!
