DIY sand dollar escort tags

This was a last minute change to my plans - I just kept seeing the starfish and sand dollar tags and loved them.  I couldn't decide between the 2 but was out at an art fair a few weeks ago and there was a stand selling the sand dollars so I thought that was a sign.  They turned out exactly like I hoped.  I had the paper and ribbon left over from other DIY projects so it only involved buying the sand dollars.  I'll have to write in the table numbers later as we are waiting until the last minute for that (you never know who will pop up or out).  They will be displayed at the entrance in one of those trays filled with sand which I will have my florist provide.

 

I have to think about a packing alternative - right now they are in bubble wrap because they are so fragile.  They will be very protected as they are right now, but it takes up a lot of space.

cute! I love these. Maybe you could put them in the bottom of your dress bag that you will carry on? I have heard others put their real touch bouquets and other fragile items in with the dress!

Good idea about the dress bag - I always wondered how people transported their bouquets - that makes a lot of sense.
