Why Real Touch Flowers?

Recommended Posts

I noticed that a number of brides are going with real touch flowers for their bouquets, and they all look so beautiful and real! Did you decide to use real touch flowers because they're cheaper, or because you want to keep them forever? Thanks for your help!

It was the only way to ensure that I got specific flowers in the colors I wanted. Once I found out how much the resorts were charging for BM flowers and boutonnieres, I started checking out alternatives. I've always hated fake flowers and thought they were incredibly tacky. But the real touch flowers look and feel great, and most importantly photograph wonderfully. Our photographers were actually the ones that first suggested using real touch, she had used them for her DW.

Once I realized that I could purchase the flowers and assemble them myself for an even better price, I was sold. I still had the resort add real roses to my bouquet so that mine would be different from BM bouquets, but I couldn't be happier.

I am in the process of looking for real touch flowers to do my own bouquets and bouts, etc.  I have seen some selection in Hobby Lobby when I was in the states last week.  Any other suggestions of good places to look for real touch at really great prices in the US?

I live in Canada, and I have checked Micheals, but they are considerably more expensive so I think will buy them on a trip to the US.  Any other canadian suggestions?

Like Mocha, I went with real-touch flowers as it was the only way to get the colours I wanted and the flowers i wanted. I ordered my flowers off of afloral.com and assembled my bouquet by myself.  It travelled in a little bit of bubble wrap in our carry-on back pack and still looked great upon our arrival in Jamaica.

I really liked how it ended up looking in our shots..

My bouquet now sits in a vase on our dresser waiting for our AHR when I also plan on using it as decoration there. You can't bring real flowers home from another country, but this way I have my bouquet forever.

I am doing real touch flowers for a few different reasons:

1.  They are less expensive than real flowers.  I wanted an arrangement of at least 15 white calla lillys.  I contacted my resort because a "free" bridal bouquet is included in my wedding package.  Calla lillys are not part of the "free" wedding bouquet options from what I understand not much is!  I was set on calla lillys and for the the prices I was getting quoted at (around 500.00 just for my bridal bouquet?)  I had to seek other options.

2.  They can be kept forever or passed on to another bride.  I personally will not probably not keep my flowers, but rather I will resell them after I get back from our wedding (at a very discounted price).

3.  Your bouquet as well as your bridesmaids bouquets are something that shows up in a large number of your pictures.  I was horrified thinking I will not know what my flowers look like until the day of my wedding.   No way this would give me the worst stress I could think of!  With real touch flowers, I am going to be sent photos before they even leave the company I am ordering from.  So that I can approve my bouquet as well as my 5 bridesmaids bouquets.  So I know exactly what will be showing up in pictures that day.

For those 3 main reasons I have picked real touch flowers.  They are the best option for me! : )  I ordered mine from wedideas.com and it has been a wonderful experience thus far and a great price!  If you have any other questions I would be happy answer them for you (or try my best lol).  Hope this helps!

I just ordered my real touch flowers from a Canadian site www.bloombridal.com that ship to the US and other countries too. My wedding is going to be in Ocho Rio Jamaica in Sept and my color theme is hot pink and a hint of orange. They have a bouquet that is exactly what I was looking for! I canâ€t wait to get them…so excited!! woot.gif

I paid total $389.50 for the whole thing including my bouquet $122, 4 of the small 6 inches bridesmaids bouquets $40 each, $37.50 for 5 boutoneers, 2 corsages $12.50 each, and 5 hair flowers $9 each for me and my bridesmaids. I canâ€t believe it costs me less than $400 for all that!!! Canâ€t beat that! My resort would have charge me $640 for the flowers I want, but they couldnâ€t guarantee to get the hot pink lilies for me. I found bloom bridal very helpful and patient with me. I wanted to customize my bridesmaids bouquets, I didnâ€t want theirs to be exactly as mine, I want mine to be more hot pink and theirs to be more orange/yellow.

I know some people would pick fresh flowers, but I find more and more people are curious about these fake flowers cuz they look so real! I picked real touch flowers personally for my wedding because my resort charge me too much for fresh flowers and I personally donâ€t trust the florist at the resort and donâ€t want to worry about how they turn out on my big day. One less stress! I also want very specific colors for my bouquet and artificial flowers gave me more choices of color and variety. Itâ€s also nice that Iâ€ll be getting them in advance and not the day of the wedding. Me and my bridesmaids are actually quite excited about getting the real touch flowers that I ordered and we can to keep them forever! Woot woot.

This is the bouquet on their website that I ordered,

I agree.. i always thought fake flowers are tacky and looks fake. But these new real touch flowers on the market looks amazing! I ordered mine on www.bloombridal.com. I thought their prices are budget friendly and great service. I honestly don't believe spending a fortune on fresh flowers that doesn't even last. I checked out Michaels too before I ordered my flowers, but didn't find their quality that great for what they charged. if you are from Canada, definitely check out their website, they are based in toronto. They ship outside of Canada too!  I just saw this new bouquet they have on there that looks fabulous! It's too bad I already picked out mine. loooooove the color!
