Ugly AHR hall

Any ideas of stuff to hang from those hooks on the walls? They are all in a horizontal line... Or should I just take attention away and draw it towards the ceiling? What do you think? (PS - Thanks for the great ideas so far! You guys are very creative! When I looked at it, I was totally uninspired and just went 'ugh')

Okay, so I just found out that apparently things canNOT be hung from the ceiling. Grrrr..... I have to go measure the height of the hooks on the walls; I was thinking of hanging lines from one hook to another across the hall and hang lanterns from there. If it is tall enough.

Argh, I have the same problem.  I'm from a tiny village (see, 800 people!) in the middle of nowhere.  There are 2 rooms we can rent: one, that's at a super nice location, on a lake, tall ceiling, not super nice and pretty big (we won't fill all the space...), and the other one is at a fire hall, with darts games (boards) on the walls, and trophee's and what not everywhere... small, free... but UGLY.

 

I was going to suggest the same thing you just said, hanging lines from one hook to another across the hall and hang lanterns...

 

Maybe get some tall bases with tall branches or flowers?  Tall plants?
