Congrats 2012 brides!  I am getting married at the Valentin Imperial Maya, February 18, 2012.  Pretty much everything is booked, just have to finish all of the little things - I'm not much of a planner so this is working out for me!  Loving this site - there's so many great tips from other brides!

Hey ladies. My date is October 13 2012 At now sapphire . Got 2 dresses travel agent in place. Just about to send out std's I'm having obviously the destination wedding. And also I'm having a dinner reception 2 weeks later in ny. Wondering if I can put both std's cards in one envelope. Some people are getting just the ny STD and some are getting/ going to both celebrations Help.! Is it tacky??

Everyone will have their own opinion.  However; with having a DW & AHR your cost could add up rather quickly so, putting both in together will save on postage and will allow your guest to plan for both immediately.

Will be getting married November 2012

Our invitations have been sent out as of this week as our travel agent needs the deposit in by Sept 21st. Rather then save the dates we just did our invites early.

We are getting married at the Gran Bahia principe in Punta Cana

So far the invites is all we have done. I am going this friday/saturday looking for wedding dresses. I could not be more excited!!!

Hey Everyone, I am new to this site and loveeee it !!! I spent all day reading posts !! And by the way, CONGRATS for all of you for your weddings

 

We decided on getting married in November 2012. It probably be in Punta Cana since I think I will be able to get under 1300$ for my guests at the hotels i've been looking at. I would have loved it to be in mexico but the rates seems to be higher. I live in a small town and we have to drive 10h to catch the plane so expenses goes up pretty fast.

 

I was told by an agency that I will not be able to get rates (air+hotel) until Nov. or Dec. since they are suposedly not out yet but I can see that some of you have already booked even though that your weddings are more then a year from now, where did you get the rates ??

 

Even though I do not have the exact date or hotel I was thinking on sending out some sort of invitation on letting my guests know its gonna be next year in punta cana and asking them to tell me if they are interested. If they are not, well I won't have to bother with those people and concentrate on the ones who are interested. You guys think it's a good idea ? Should I let my guests know now even though it's in 15 monthes ? Should I wait for when I get my prices ??

 

I'm soooo anxious on starting on planing it all, I loveee planing

Thanks coco. I would think it's easier for guests that are coming to know there's 2 options if they can't afford or make the destination one they are welcome to ahr Too many decisions.!!!

We are booked for Riu Palace Cabo June 22, 2012!  We sent out our save the dates this week and are starting to get RSVPs back.  It's so exciting!!   Next mission....find a photographer in Cabo!
