Kelly thanks so much for the boost of confidence.  :)  I am just about to start day 2!  I was kind of worried because I'm travelling for work again this week and I figured I'd just go to the gym in the hotel while I was away, but after reading your suggestion I am transferring the videos to my laptop right now.  I can't believe I didn't think of that!

Love your suggestions as well about easing into it.  Lol, grocery shopping today I couldn't even stand on my tiptoes to look for something on a high shelf.  My calves are killing me, haha!  But it will be worth it in the end.  My fiance and I are heading to Punta Cana in 3 weeks for a friends wedding (only the second DW I'll ever have gone to, and I've stood in about a billion wedding, haha) and I know I'll be gross on the beach there, but at the same time I'm excited because I know by the time it's OUR wedding in August, we're both going to look great!

Thanks again for your suggestions and inspiration.  I'm looking forward to inspiring others one day too!

Lauren

Hey MyTye2B!!  I agree with Kelly.  You can totally lose the weight and get into the best shape of your life (I sound like the infomercial haha) if you stick with it, stay disciplined and determined.  I guarantee you will feel so much better in just 3 wks when you head down to PC.  I know everyone makes excuses but there really is a work around for everything.

Live in an apt? - take your laptop and go to the gym or any outdoor area or advise your neighbor below that one hour out of everyday you will be making some noise but it will be temporary.

Dirty roommates? - clean the kitchen so you can use the things you need, put their dirty plates to the side or back in their rooms until it grows mold and they finally do something about it, designate an area of the fridge that is only yours and your groceries are not to be touched by others.

Traveling? - bring the DVDs with you and do it in your hotel room or hotel gym.

Nutrition/Bored with food? switch it up, try new recipes, make enough for leftovers, get a good protein powder to help you get your necessary protein intake, drink lots of water

Sore? - stretch, warm baths, glutamine/BCAAs, push through it, the soreness goes away eventually

Stick with it girl, check back in with us everyday if you need to.  We will keep you motivated and encouraged.  You can do it and you will be so happy you did.

Trust us....It is worth the pain, sweat and tears...we have all done it already. :)

Aww thank you you guys!  Honestly I am so inspired!  I woke up at 5am this morning to do Day 3 before work.  And I ended up getting here early!  It is crazy how much more energy I have in just a few days - lol even though everything hurts!  Again, thanks for the suggestions/work-arounds.  I have dirty roommates (for 3 more months until our house is built yay!) so I've been using my crock pot that I got for Christmas to make the healthiest, most delicious foods and LOTS of it!  Easy to grab and go in the morning or when I come home after a long day and I'm starving.  I'm going to Abbotsford for work tomorrow for the rest of the week and the videos are on my laptop.  I'll be jumping around that hotel room like you won't believe!  :)  No more excuses.  I'm going to do this right.  And if it helps me look even a bit better 3 weeks from now I'll be thrilled.  Thank you so much for the support!

Hi Ladies,

I started Insanity this past Monday.  As of this morning I have completed Day 3.  I think/hope I started this program at the perfect time since this past Monday marked 65 days before we depart for our wedding.  So if I follow to plan, my last day of the program wiill be Saturday, March 23rd.  We depart Wednesday, March 27th.

I have been a Lifetime Member of Weight Watchers since January 2011.  I joined in October 2010.  I lost overall 25 lbs and have maintained that weightloss.  I am 5'10 - 157 lbs., 44 years young.  I am not looking so much for weight loss as much as I want to overall tone my body.  I normally wear a bikini, but would really like to ROCK that bikini.

I have heard so much about Insanity, that I decided to "DIG DEEPER!"  I am psyched to have this forum chat with.

It's definitely a challenge...I am sore, but I already feel stronger in my core.  Looking forward to continued results.  Good Luck Ladies!!

Thanks kellygrrrl for starting this thread! xoxo

Congratulations on hitting day 3!  Good for you!  I can see I posted last 2 weeks and 2 days ago on day 3.  I am (kind of) bummed to say that I didn't continue past day 8 but I didn't give up completely.  I have been doing Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred which is more attainable for me at the moment - I'm 31, 5'7 and 180 - yikes!  Once I can successfully complete all three levels of this I'll try for Insanity again.  I have 7 months left.  But I do feel a sense of accomplishment and I haven't missed a day yet except last Sunday which I rested on.  You will absolutely be able to do it in the next 60 days especially since it sounds like the first few days have been going well!!  :)  Congratulations and keep up the good work!

Thank MyTye2B!!!!  You are so sweet!  So nice to meet you!!  I sure hope I can continue!!!  60 days seems so far away....only time will tell. Also, thanks for mentioning Jilliam Michaels 30 Day Shed - I may have to check that out (in case Shaun T kicks my butt too hard!). That is so awesome that you have not missed a day, but one!  Don't you feel great?  More energy?  Your 7 months will be here before you know it!!!

I must say I was pleasantly surprised this morning - Week 1 - Day 4 Cardio Recovery was EXACTLY what my muscles needed today.  I can proudly say this was the 1st day I was able to complete all his requirements.  haha  My FI, Bill, even got up with me today to workout with me.  It was perfect for him since he is in a basketball league & tonight they play - he's all strectched and ready to go!  smile67.gif

I have a feeling that Shaun T & I are going to have a love/hate relationship.  xoxo

Good Luck with your workouts ladies.  Keep it up and stay motivated.  Each day your workout gets you one step closer to your goal.

I am nursing a knee injury right now so I cannot do much which is very frustrating.  I am very motivated at the moment and miss Insanity so much.  Just signed myself up for a obstacle course race in April.  Definitely need Insanity to help me get through that.

Have a great weekend, push hard and DIG DEEPER!!

I'm finally starting Insanity again! I was in a car accident before xmas so I was unable to exercise until now! It feels great to be starting again. I will be starting month 2 soon to amp things up since I don't have much time left. I've also been using myfitnesspal to count calories and it has been working well. Keep up the great work ladies!!
