You got this girl! I'm in the middle of Week 5, the beginning of Phase 2, which is a new beast completely. I thought I was done being sore, but could barely move this morning ha. It's worth it though, definitely seeing the results. My FI is doing it with me as well, which is good, because I'm less likely to wuss out if he's already done his workout for the day. We do ours at different times during the day though, I do mine before he gets back from work & he does his in the evening...which I kind of like, because I tend to get mucho sweaty...not a cute look for me:) Keep it up, I have to tell myself it will be worth it when I'm a hot bride. I also find that yelling cuss words at Shaun T while doing the workout feels very good.

Haha you girls made me laugh!!

I did try to start up a routine this week and I only ended up doing Pure Cardio one day.  But going to do another today and going to try at least 3 times a week starting next week.  I have our 1 yr anniversary coming up and we are heading back down to Mexico and I want to look as good as I did last year.  I am very active and workout all the time but I've noticed that this type of workout really is the only thing that gets the fat off and the legs leaner.  We just installed floor to ceiling mirrors in our gym this week which is nice and motivating but provides an honest view from any angle.  Now its easy to see what things are moving more than they should be haha.

Have a great weekend ladies and keep sweatin' it out!!

  • 4 weeks later...

I recently gave up... I wanna start again though! Hurricane sandy flooded our workout room so were trying to get all of the water up. I would def recommend it though. It's a commitment, 6 days a week and 45 mins and then I think goes to like an hour long workout it the second month. I was able to see results though! Hope this helps:)

So I am in the recovery week of Insanity, so 1 month down already. I didn't start the program with the intention to lose weight as I workout all the time, but just as a change of pace from my strength training-heavy routine. I didn't bother with before pictures or taking measurements either because I didn't expect much to change... well I was dead wrong! I tried on my wedding dress less than 3 full weeks into the program (I was planning on having it let out) and it zipped like a dream! When I weighed myself I was 5lb down. It's crazy and I'm super excited. ...well actually I'm super nervous about beginning the new month 2 DVDs, but I still have a few days before I need to start those. cheesy.gif

The ONLY way I've been able to stick to it is with a workout buddy, otherwise I probably would have turned off the first DVD about 10 min into the workout. This way my competative side kicks in and I think "if she can do it so can I!" and I keep pushing myself.

The workout buddy def helps. Mine was my fiancé, and it was so funny cause we would both be DEAD tired but we would push through, like trying to show the other one up. Then he threw his back out and I had midterms... and we have become bums again. I'm starting up again though just as soon as our workout room is fixed from the flood!
