The Official INSANITY Support Thread

Recommended Posts

You look amazing! Congratulations! All of your hard work paid off! Your picks are totally getting me excited about starting all over again. [ quote name=kellygrrrl" url="/t/71635/the-official-insanity-support-thread/410#post_1760496] hey ladies - I made it!! or close enough, anyways. ; ) we leave for our wedding in 9 days, so I'll still keep active, but I went ahead and compiled some before and afters so I could get my free t-shirt (see: http://www.beachbody.com/text/products/programs/insanity/popup/tshirt.html). as a bonus, I heard back from them the very next day, and it should be here in time for the wedding! yay!! : ) I wanted to post some more before and afters here in hopes that they encourage future brides to try it out. I'm a HUGE advocate and am really excited by the results. last time I stopped around 6 weeks, and by continuing through month two, I ended up losing two inches off my waist and hips and dropped about 5 lbs overall. I also went from a size 4 to a size 2 (hence the wedding dress no longer fitting issues ; ). good problem to have! hope everyone is still doing well. I'll check in from time to time to see how things are going. KEEP PUSHING!! : ) 600x297px-LL-9b52faf7_InsanityBikini.jpeg 600x326px-LL-b6b79be4_InsanityJeans.jpeg had to toss in a few gratuitous muscle shots. FI enjoyed taking these. ; ) 600x385px-LL-bcc3c494_InsanityBonus.jpeg

I did two days in a row!!  YAY FOR ME!!!  LOL (Insane Abs & Pure Cardio)

That is sad that I get excited over 2 days when I did 60 days straight before.  muscle.gif

Anyways...I am 5 weeks away from vacay and I have my plan...Pure Cardio, Max Cardio & Conditioning and Insane Abs every week from here on out.  I like those 3 dvds the best so I have a better chance at sticking to doing them.

Hope everyone else is sticking with it and pushing play.

Happy Friday!!!

I'm so glad I found this thread!!! My 11 year old son and I have started the Insanity on Monday. My wedding day is August 3rd so definitley looking forward to shedding some pounds. Reading this thread is definitley motivating me! Thank you to all you ladies for encouraging one another and thank you Kellygrrl for the inspiration pictures!!!

I have done the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred which I do love but it has nothing on Insanity when it comes to kicking your butt!

Happy Insanity workout!

Hello Brides -

I just bought insanity, but I have not done nothing other then the initial video which you count how many you can do of each excercise. I'm completely out of shape since having my daughter, but I'm a hard core work out person when I'm working out so I thought this would be a great workout. After doing the initial video I realize that I might need to lose weight before I start this. Has anyone else had this problem and still completed the Insanity challenge? I'm like 40lbs overweight since having my daughter, and I feel like that is a lot. Any suggestions would be awesome.

Thanks in advance

ladies - omg, we are BACK from our wedding and honeymoon at the Royal Playa del Carmen, and I have to tell you in a year and a half of planning, one of the best things I ever did was getting in shape with Insanity. I felt soooo good and confident running around in a swimsuit for nine days, and in all the pictures I see muscles, not fat! It was so rewarding to just go enjoy the all-inclusive knowing how hard I'd worked for it, and I returned home to find my free t-shirt in the mail (seriously awesome - on the front it has the Insanity logo, and on the back it says 'I earned it').

I'd like to get back into some sort of routine now that we're home, but I just wanted to pass on that extra motivation for anyone who may need it. In the end it is SO. TOTALLY. WORTH. IT.

best of luck, and keep pushing! ; )

shay - I'd say to go for it and just do what you can off the videos (forget pausing, just let them run) until you can actually do the whole thing, provided you have a heart rate monitor, otherwise it could be dangerous. both times I started Insanity, I felt like I was going to die because I'd gone from nothing to supo-extreme workout.

if it really is too much, you might try jilian's 30 day shred. comparatively, it is quite easy, but at least it will sort of ramp up your muscle and cardio. let us know how it goes!
