This is very good news.  It's definitely in my legs as well!!  I did measure myself tonight and I have lost an inch in my waist and hip area!  So YAY!!!  Thanks for the uplifting information!!!!

For those of you who have gained weight also keep in mind that when you workout and you use your muscles they get full of liquid, water, lactic acid, etc.

(taken from a website)

When you start doing more exercise, your body begins storing more fuel in your muscle cells, where it can be used easily and quickly to fuel your workouts. The process of converting glucose (carbohydrates) into fuel that your muscles actually store and use (glycogen) requires three molecules of water for every molecule of glucose. As your muscles are building up glycogen stores, your body has to retain extra water for this purpose. That's what causes most of the initial weight gain or lack of weight loss. This is a good thing—not something to worry about.

However, despite what the scale says, you are actually losing fat during this time. The extra water retention will stop once your body has adjusted to its new activity level. At that point, the scale should start moving down. You'll end up with less fat, and muscles that can handle a larger amount of work.

For me its especially my legs that do this.  When I train legs they swell up so bad for a few days.  Pants and jeans are always tighter in the thigh area during that time which sucks but I know what it is and I am back to normal in a few days.  And then I do it all over again LOL.  So don't get discouraged if your not seeing the scale move.  Just stop weighing yourself altogether because it's not like a certain number on the scale will mean you look hot in your dress/bikini.  What matters is the measuring tape and what you see in the mirror.  That is what will show you progress.

Keep at it ladies!!!

Ok ladies! I need your help!

I started insanity a few month ago, and I was doing SO well up until christmas...  but then over the holidays I got lazy and stopped. Since the new  year I do the workouts maybe 3 times a week... definitely NOT digging deep!

We leave to mexico on Feb 17, so I really need to find the motivation to continue along with this full time until it's time to go! (usually my FI does it with me, but he is out of town for the next couple weeks) so I am in dire need of some wonderful ladies to help me stay on track!!

Even just reading this forum has me feeling a little more motivated! lol

I am doing good! Still charging along, but my wedding day is closer than all of yours so I have EXTRA motivation to keep/stay on track.  Using these last few days to shape up or ship out!

Dont worry, I fell off the wagon during the holidays...I took a WEEK off, your body will get back into the swing of things! DIG DEEPER! :)

Hi ladies!!

I know how you feel Jamie.  I tell myself one thing and end up doing something different.

I Think - "Eat healthy, workout daily, less than 2 weeks left, I CAN DO THIS!!"

I Do - "Ate horrible last few days, didn't work out yesterday, think to myself the dress will cover everything - it's not like I need to wear a bikini like last time LOL, and just say F it - I already put in the hard work for the wedding vacation"

Then I wake up the next day mad at myself for doing what I did and tell myself back at it again today - then the next day comes along and I do the same thing as before.  What a vicious cycle LMAO!!

So unfortunately I am not very motivating to others right now....

But I can tell you all to stick with it and know that each day you do push play gets you one step closer to your goal and that awesome bikini body!!!

HA!  You would think my motivation would be through the roof with my upcoming wedding!

I did, however, push play last night and I am glad I did!  I guess I just needed that one day to get back into it!  "BIKINI, BIKINI, BIKINI"

I am sure you still look awesome and have nothing to worry about!  Your AHR is going to be sooooooo fun!!!

you might try the recovery week video while you're not feeling up to it. that one is pretty low-key - I think you could take out the small jumps on it and be fine. at least that way you'd stay in it.
