Hello ladies,

I started Insanity on Monday and I am soo sore! but I like it very much even though I cannot keep up with the video the full time. Hope that at some point I will be able to keep up with it!

Reading this thread has motivated me a lot! Thank you!

I gained some weight and not sure I will fit in my weding dress anymore since I ordered it a while ago and was supposed to be very tight at that time :) I am picking it up in 4 weeks and hope insanity will help me fit into it :)

Keep these messages coming! Makes me want to go work out!

Ana

Great job ladies!!  Cardio Recovery is such a nice mix up from the normal stuff.

Ana - you will see and feel results in 2 weeks.  4 weeks will be perfect.  U'll be one month in and have a good idea of how your body is changing.  Hope the dress fitting goes well.  Keep it up!!

oh my, I just did day 5 of insanity and Shawn T is just freakin crazy !!! I'm sure he is actually a machine and not humain !!!!

But, love the program :) I do my best,I have lots of trouble doing the floor excercises so if I feel I cant't do it, I either run or do sit-ups. I am VERY weak in the arms so push-ups is such a challenge for me. I am hoping that I will better at them though.

Keep on going girls and think deeper !!!! :)

Hi ladies!

Just checking in and seeing how your weekend was along with your work outs last week/end.

I am now starting my 4th week.  I still haven't seen any changes in my body and my clothes still feel the same :(  But my sis said that I look like I have lost some weight, so who knows!? :)

I am going to Palm Springs to visit my grandparents Thursday-Sunday of this week, which is great, but bad too.  I may miss a couple work outs because of it, but....they do have a DVD player in the hotel.  It just may be difficult as we are going out there to see my grandfather who broke his femur, so we want to spend as much time with them as possible....Not to mention we are going out to dinner every night we are there....EEEKK!  So glad I will be able to do 2 rounds of Insanity before my wedding!  :)

Keep up the good work ladies!!!

I totally know what you mean.  Today is my first day on week 2!  My pushups totally suck so I do them on my kness, but I think they are getting better.  Lol or at least I'm telling myself that ;-)

Hang in there, I'm sure there are some changes happening.  Women tend to be their worst critics.  I don't know about you, but for me sometimes that time of the month puts a damper on my results.  I'm not sure if you're following the meal plan, but altering your eating might help.  Either way you're only 4 weeks in so there's plenty of time :-)

I am following the eating plan, so I think that's why I am a little frustrated????  But I am sticking with it!  :)  My mantra is "BIKINI, BIKINI, BIKINI"  ha!!!

I started to do mainly cardio these last couple of weeks.  I have halted any and all carbs...any form...and not eating after 6pm.  This has leaned me out DRASTICALLY! But I wanted to wait to make all these changes until right before we left...I think being so strict on what you can and cant eat for a really long period of time would make you cranky....me at least.

Here's my latest update...I was trying on the new VS swimsuit collection...I ordered this one in the stripe and another one (that I couldnt try on because they dont have it in store) in all black...one more and Im all set!me.jpg

Girl!!!  I know how you feel, I have gained weight as well, or at least that's what the scale said a couple weeks ago.  Because of that I won't weigh myself anymore!  It really discouraged me.  Keep with it, you are developing muscles and stamina!  My FI noticed how my booty is a lot more firm than it was 4 weeks ago!  So, something has to be working!

Bride2012 you look awesome and I love VS bikinis....great choice!!

For those of you who have gained weight also keep in mind that when you workout and you use your muscles they get full of liquid, water, lactic acid, etc.

(taken from a website)

When you start doing more exercise, your body begins storing more fuel in your muscle cells, where it can be used easily and quickly to fuel your workouts. The process of converting glucose (carbohydrates) into fuel that your muscles actually store and use (glycogen) requires three molecules of water for every molecule of glucose. As your muscles are building up glycogen stores, your body has to retain extra water for this purpose. That's what causes most of the initial weight gain or lack of weight loss. This is a good thing—not something to worry about.

However, despite what the scale says, you are actually losing fat during this time. The extra water retention will stop once your body has adjusted to its new activity level. At that point, the scale should start moving down. You'll end up with less fat, and muscles that can handle a larger amount of work.

For me its especially my legs that do this.  When I train legs they swell up so bad for a few days.  Pants and jeans are always tighter in the thigh area during that time which sucks but I know what it is and I am back to normal in a few days.  And then I do it all over again LOL.  So don't get discouraged if your not seeing the scale move.  Just stop weighing yourself altogether because it's not like a certain number on the scale will mean you look hot in your dress/bikini.  What matters is the measuring tape and what you see in the mirror.  That is what will show you progress.

Keep at it ladies!!!
