The Official INSANITY Support Thread

kellygrrrl we meet again! Hope that you are well and that your plans are going smoothly I saw your thread and got curious. With less than 90 days before the wedding, I will give this workout a go. Hopefully, there will be no cardiac arrest. I've been doing kickboxing and a variety of cardio classes but I think that this one will whip my behind. I'll keep you posted.

hey vero! : ) funny how this BDW forum works and the people you keep running into.

honestly, I went from doing nothing (and I mean N-O-T-H-I-N-G) to Insanity and didn't have a heart rate monitor. I just took breaks when I needed to. I'm not gonna lie, when I did the first fitness test, I did almost pass out, and I had to take like 5 mins between each exercise. and there were various other times I felt light headed, but I just did what I could. after two weeks, there really weren't any more issues, and I did the second fit test no prob. I think it's good to be cautious, but cardiac arrest seems a bit severe.

based on your background, I think you'll do just fine! : ) let us know how it goes.

I enjoyed Insanity, but I wanted to be able to tone more, The Asylum combines weight training in order to help better shape your body...and let me tell you...so far...its WORKING, im seeing muscles where I didnt have them a couple of weeks ago, and the extra muscle is apparently helping me torch this fat because today I got into my size 4 pants that i havent been able to get into in MONTHS...thats right MONTHS!

I still have 29 days left of the Asylum, but this is my brief update woot.gif

Awesome job girl!!!  So proud of you.  What a great feeling fitting into old jeans!!

I have been getting up at 4am to get some extra cardio and sauna time in and then I do Insanity in the evening.  I did some weight training last week and shredded my legs.  They still hurt and its been about a week.  YIKES.  Thinking of hitting up the weights one more time but since they make me hold water I'm just sticking to a lot of cardio for now.  I leave in 5 days!!!!

OMG 5 days!!! Its crazy that its almost your time already! I cant wait to see you in your dress looking all fit and beautiful!FYI, your BD photo was the reason I booked a session for myself, I am so excited! Its not until January (wanted to make sure I was where I wanted to before getting in front of the camera), so thanks for being my inspiration!

Aww I am so glad I was an inspiration!!  I bet you look amazing already but Asylum is going to tighten everything up.  So happy for you.

The last few days leading up to the shoot eat very clean food, no sugars, alcohols, processed foods, and low carbs so you don't bloat!!

And drinks tons of water leading up to it and then cut back the day before.  It worked so well for me but I carry a lot of water in my body, especially lower half so I really needed it.

You are going to have so much fun.  Bring inspiration photos with you and don't hold back!!!

I'm in my 4th week of INSANITY and I'm soooooo bummed that I had to miss my first day (yesterday) due to an injury I sustained at work! I swore to myself when I started insanity that I would NOT miss a day, but I guess sometimes things happen. I just needed to listen to my body and rest for the day, but thankfully I was able to work out today<

Question for the ladies who have already completed insanity..............what is the core cardio and balance workout like for the recovery week? Is it challenging? Did anyone skip it and do something else? I was thinking about running that week and doing some core.

Thanks
