Good Luck!!  I was just thinking about this thread and how no one has posted anything in a while.  How is everyone else doing?

I can't wait to get to month 2.  I started the workouts over a few times already.  I currently do one every other day or so (doctor's orders for now).  But I plan to do the full 60 days straight as soon as I get back from my work trip next week.  I really can't wait to follow the program properly (sucks not being at 100%).

Keep up the hard work ladies!!

I was originally waiting to post, but I've sort of limped to the finish line on month 2 (not literally, I'm ok! : ). I found it tough to get motivated for an entire HOUR of Insanity and even thought the warm ups were really hard.

I took extra days off in between workouts in weeks one and three of month two (week two was successful - 6 workouts in 7 days!) and contemplated giving the whole thing up going in to week 4. I've stuck with it, though, and finished a workout at least every other (to every two) days and am on the last three workouts (Max Interval Plyo, Max Cardio Conditioning & Cardio Abs and the Fit Test). while it's still not easy, it's definitely not as demanding as working out back to back to back, and so far I've stayed in shape and my body is lean and trim. to me, I feel like I just got into the maintenence aspect of it a few weeks early, which is really fine because I don't have an impending wedding deadline. unless I feel super winded or my muscles get sore after doing a video, I don't think I'll go back to six days a week, but I'd be happy to manage it with 1 - 2 days off in between. I'd also like to rotate in other activities (swimming? bikram yoga?) for a cross-training aspect.

is there anyone out there who has finished the videos and has advice for keeping up a varied fitness routine? I should say that I'm REALLY pleased with the results. I don't know if the numbers on the scale changed more than a few pounds, but I lost an inch in all the major body parts, I feel tight, toned and in shape, and my FI LOVES it. : ) I'm really encouraged to keep going on a more realistic I-can-do-this-every-day type of program. what does everyone do when you're not doing Insanity?

That's great that you stuck with it even if you took days off. You lost inches & that's all that matter!

After I completed Insanity I went back to doing another round of P90x. I think its more of a personal preference really. I would say do what you enjoy so that way you will want to do it. Me personally, I like the programmed workouts. I feel they push me harder & I don't get so bored. I was just going to the gym & doing the same crap everyday where if there is a schedule to follow I feel it motivates me & I dont want to skip one. Your motivation should be how you look & feel now. How your FI loves the way you look & I am sure you feel more confident too! Maybe try to do a different beachbody workout? I know insanity is very hard but they have a lot of different workouts. I actually tried Turbo Fire for 2 weeks after Insanity but HATED it. It was too slow for me. Check out their other workouts online. And remember we are all here for each other going through the same thing!

Great job girl!!  Thanks for posting.

I go back and forth about wanting to do the entire program 60 days straight or just doing what feels good and leaving some days open for indoor cycle, hot yoga and hiking.  I've been doing every other day right now or a few days back to back if I can.  But I just don't know if I want to try to start over and follow it to a T or just do what feels comfortable.

Great job and sticking it out and completing the entire program.  What a great feeling that has to be.

So I didn't end up finishing insanity even though I was so close. It ended up coming too close to my wedding and I got way too busy! Im actually ok with that. Truly I should have started a bit earlier and realized id have no time in the weeks leading up to my wedding!!! Im back and I had all inclusive food for 2 weeks so it is now time to start up again! This time I don't plan on following the schedule because I also go to the gym but ill use the workouts as something when I don't have th motivation to go to the gym or when the gym is closed. I loved insanity and it worked muscles I don't know his to work at the gym. Looks like everyone is doing great and getting back into it!

Well, I'm really glad I found this thread. I have started Insanity about 4 times over the last year only getting as far as week 1. After reading this thread last week, I decided to start up again. So here I am at day 2 sopping wet from sweat after finishing the plyometric cardio cirucuit.

Right now I'm so out of shape I can't do all of the exercises so I just try to keep moving during the parts I can't do. My goal is to complete the 60 day video by the time we get married 07/2012. I'm hoping this is an attainable goal. If there are any other brides just starting up I'd love to buddy up with you.

Keep posting ladies. You are so inspirational!

YOU CAN DO IT!!!!! : )

the soreness goes away after a week, and then you start to feel amazing. you have energy all the time and you wake up in the morning feeling refreshed. it's incredible. : ) if you need to take breaks, totally fine. shawn t just doesn't want you to compromise the form. if something hurts, it's ok to take a day or two off. but otherwise, go for it!! if you follow the schedule and work out 6 out of 7 days, you will be amazed at how quickly your body changes. be sure to take before and after photos for insipiration. : ) best of luck, and keep us posted on your progress.

So I'm still at it...doing it on and off and including some other activities.  Went to Miami for work 2 weeks ago and now I have to go back next week.  That has been throwing me off a bit.  But once I get back I will be doing Insanity as consistently as possible since I will have no other trips until my wedding.  Only 4 months to go so I think I can do Inanity about 1 full time and possibly month 2 again.  That is my plan so far.

Good Luck to all you other ladies!!
