Ok good to hear Was your photographer a friend of yours?  We were hoping our friend that is one could come but he can't make it.  How are the ones there and do you know how expensive?  Also, what are some "must do's" while we are there?

No, that was actually the first time I met her. My husband found her for me, she is out of Salt Lake City, Utah.  We paid for her airfare and 4 night stay at Beaches in return we got all of the fully edited digital files.  We honestly didn't leave the resort, it seemed like there just wasn't enough time to do much else...especially since we brought our kids. I hear Rick's Cafe is awesome.

Thanks for all of the input Our son will be with us too for half of the trip and will travel home with our parents while we honeymoon.  So did you do like a welcome dinner or anything?

Not so much a "welcome dinner" but we all ate together @ Arizona's the night my family arrived.  The snapper was amazing!!!!

Ok I think we will do something similar for dinner.  Okay more questions....sorry So how did you organized everything so people knew when and where to meet for things seeing as how most won't have phone service.  I don't want to have too much of an agenda for everyone other than the wedding day so people can do their own things.  But I would like to organize some dinners and excursions etc. with family and friends.  I will have to break up some of my time my family dynamic is werid due to my Dad being divorced 2 times and having multiple exes there lol.  Did you do a whole itenerary booklet of times and places to meet??  I don't want to make things difficult AT ALL, but I don't want to plan.  Thanks for all of your help

Hey Ladies!! So i just booked my wedding at Beaches Negril for March 18th 2012

 

i was wondering if any of you were planning your wedding there at the same time and would like to split the cost of flying in a photographer and their 3 night resort stay? i thought it would work out perfect if you were getting married on the 16th 17th or 19th?

 

i have a feeling that the photographers at the resort are not the best and they are still very expensive, i really want a great photographer to come with us!! let me know if any of you are interested!

Herewecome, Congrats on your recent marrige. I will be getting married at Beaches Negril Oct 15, 2011. My wedding is at sunset, 5:30 they told me. How do you feel the weather was around this time? Windy, hot??? I'm sort of scared it will be dark before I take all of my pictures. Did you do any set up of your own? This is kind of my main concern, I'm wondering if there is security in the ceremony/reception area that will stop me from doing things. Small things like putting favors on the tables, or creating my petal aisle, which my WC said I could do. I have also been talking to a florist there about getting my bouquets through her. I'm wondering if I pick them up will someone tell me I cant use them. She has such resonable prices.

Herwecome, were the guest able to here all the vows? Did you guys have mics? I've been reading comments about ipods and cdplayers... Does this mean noone got or is getting a DJ. Do you think its unneccesary to have one?

How did you bring in your own photographer? The Beaches website, and the materials I have say 3rd party vendors are prohibited??

I asked my WC, she said as long as the photographer is a guest and brings no equipment we were fine.
