Been Married in CR? Venue/WP Reviews Wanted! :)

Hi,

I am looking to hear from anyone who has already been married in Costa Rica. Any venue reviews (on the Pacific side) and any reviews if you used a wedding planner. I am trying to narrow down my search but it is really hard and I am having a hard time finding many reviews, especially with wedding planning companies.

Any information from your experiences is welcome- the good and the bad!

I went to a wedding in Costa Rica at the Paradisus. It was beautiful! The ceremony location was on the beach and very secluded. For the reception they had a dinner on the beach under trees that were decorated in lights, it looked amazing. I can't say much for the wedding planning, I was only a guest, but from my prospective it was gorgeous! I am even planning my wedding at a Paradisus resort in Punta Cana.

I haven't been to any weddings in Costa Rica, but I have travelled the country so I can't really help you with that. For my wedding in January I'm using Costa Rica Paradise weddings. My planner has been great to work with so far and was very helpful in suggesting locations and helping pick a whole new site when the first fell through. Oh and her price was great. Good luck with your planning!

Hola Dstanley

On the pacific side  check out these hotels

Manuel Antonio / Jaco area:

Club del mar, Costa Varde, La mariposa, Si como no, Makanda by the sea, El parador, La Mansion inn

Tamarindo area:

Diria, Capitan Suizo, Barcelo playa langosta, Westin (formely Paradisus) Bahia del sol, Flamingo beach resort

Northern Guanacaste:

Hilton papagayo, Grand papagayo occidental resort, Villa del Sueno, Bosque del mar, Villas Sol resorts

Almost all hotels have their own on site wedding planners.

Wedding planners:

Pura vida weddings

High tide low tide.

Try to have your wedding ceremony on a LOW tide day (hrs) so much better for getting beautiful wedding photos.

hope this helps

and welcome to costa rica

On the Pacific side, in Jaco, check out Hotel Docelunas. They have hosted many weddings, are #2 in TripAdvisor, and have an in house wedding coordinator that is free with booking the event there, and taking all 20 rooms.... Good luck, and congrats
