Ceremony Time

Recommended Posts

Thanks krissy, I think we are going to go with 3 even if it might be bright, we wanted to do earlier than later. Maybe do the reception earlier so there isn't as much time between for the guests.

We are getting married at 3pm and dinner starts at 6pm.  At first we had booked 4pm but didn't think that would be enough time in between.  At the resort we are marrying at right after the ceremony you do a champagne toasts and then the cake cutting and first dance.  Between all that and pictures we wanted to ensure we had enough time.  Also, the time of year we are getting married the sun sets around 550pm so we wanted to ensure enough day light to get adequate pictures.

  • 2 weeks later...

This is a great thread, great info.

Our date is late April and it seems that sunset is around 7pm

We originally booked 4pm for ceremony but just put in a request to see if we can move it to 5pm.

So that timeline would be as follows:

5 - 5:30 - Ceremony

6 to 7 - Cocktail Hour

7 to 10 - Reception

Looks like a 4pm or 5pm start would work, either way :)
