To match or not to match?

I had gorgeous invites and RSVP cards made up by Tris (here on BDW) - and I love them. I was thinking about having her do all the wedding stationary as well for ease and consistency, but I'm not much of a "matchy-matchy" person. I like the eclectic look a bit more.

 

Would it be outrageous to have place cards, programs and other wedding stationary that didn't all match, as long as they were all the same wedding colours and general feel (ie: pink, orange and flowery)??

I think it would be fine.  I'm sure no one will be bringing their Invitations with them and comparing I like the eclectic look better too! Same colour or theme would be lovely!

Same colour theme will match enough that things won't look out of place. I say go for it

I am not much of a matchy matchy person either, so I say do what you want! It's your wedding!

I think that's what I want to do too, just have the colours pull it all together. I figure how bad could it really look? And, will anyone notice??

It's a bit of a risk considering I've never tried it before... I don't want to over-do "eclectic" and end up with "tacky" or "mis-mashed" lol. I think when I have everything ready, I will kind of lay it all out and see if it all "goes". Hopefully, if anything sticks out as a sore thumb, I'll have time to make changes. If not - oh well!

You are your own worst critic, so as long as you are ok with it then it should be fine. I think that at minimum, the colours should match.

If it goes with the same colors/theme, it should be fine.  Don't stray too far though!

I don't think that's too bad...unless EVERYTHING matched, then it sometimes feels like overkill.
