Anyone know anything about prices for Feb/Mar 2012? My TA said the lowest would be $350 per night (2 people)...seems a bit high, especially when compared with the rates others are posting. Any insight/suggestions? Thanks!

alittlerandr, that's what i got quoted in the beginning, i originally planned a march 2012 wedding... i know those months are considered high season, so you can expect a higher rate... i definitely would not rule out shopping around though, acutiern and i started at around that rate too for april 2012 and we got it down to about $117 pp/pn.

I am waiting for a response from my agent for updated pricing!  My client told me that new rates for the Now will be posted this week so lets hope that rates go down for all of us!!

Hey guys! Back after a busy Mother's day weekend in my home town.

 

So I heard from Pastor York this weekend, he said he did a wedding at the NOW on Saturday. He said it was amazing and he noticed no major changes in the resort since the change in management.  He said everything was beautiful and ran very smoothly thanks to Claribel and Emy. He did say Emy does help with wedding stuff. He said not to worry, even if it takes a bit to hear back from them. I thought that was good news.

 

Looks like everyone is getting a lot done!  Moni, I love those flowers-they look awesome. I have heard nothing but good things about Real Touch.  I am considering using Angels Accents for my flowers.  Are you considering using real touch? Have you gotten any info on what flowers are included yet at the resort?

 

Sara:Those prices are ridicoulously low! How in the world did you get air that low? Are you flying from Canada?  If I could get these prices I wouldn't sign my contract that my TA is working on.  You are using AppleVacations?  Wow, I am impressed.

 

DeeSanders:Love the bouts they look awesome and such a great price! Great job. No contract yet, she is writing it with the resort this week.  I am anxious about it-especially if Sara is getting those crazy low rates.

 

JB:I like the idea of the seashell "flowers", I think I would just include them around regular flowers though.

 

Well, I have tomorrow off so I hope to do a bit of work on my ideas for save the date and a website.  Hopefully it will turn out as good as all of yours!

My travel agent works for Travel Leaders but she used to work for Apple so she is either going to get rates thru apple or am resorts. I think that is the name of the other company.  Like I said before rates should come out this week with the Now.  If you go on any of the travel sites now you will not see any pricing, or any pricing that is worth looking at.  Those rates are what I have in contract now but I have till May 13th before I have to put any money down to guarantee those rates.  I was given those rates about a month ago.  Apple is working with the Now Larimar at getting package deals for next year and my contact there said they will be posted by the end of this week so I am hoping that we will be getting better rates than what I already have in contract.  So I will let you know as soon as I hear from them as far as new pricing goes.  The airfare rates I got are through USA 3000.  I will be holding 40 seats on charter flights for 4, 5 and 7 night stays.  We are flying from Chicago O'hare International and those are direct flights into Punta Cana.  What pricing are you getting for flights??  I know if you look now they are high but like I said if you give it a few days new pricing will come out and they are going to be releasing more flights when these new prices come out as well so we should see the flight prices go down from what they are now as well.  My email is [email protected] if you want any other information.  Sometimes I don't check this site for a few days so if you need any other questions answered just let me know! Wow Sara those are great rates!! I can't wait for the NOW rates to come out, I am holding off on signing my contract also because I want the lowest rates possible for my guests! I am really hoping for that cheap of airfare when ours comes out also!!

I wonder why it is so much cheaper to fly from Chicago to Punta Cana than anywhere else?  My TA has even said we may have my guests from Kansas fly to Chicago on Friday night and fly out from there on Saturday because it will save so much money.  Air from there is around $400-500 and everywhere else is pushing 1000! Sara you are lucky to be leaving from there.  Keep us posted when the new rates come out, I am curious and have not signed a contract yet.

 

Anyone heard from Emy or Claribel recently? I have had a few questions but not heard back in a couple of weeks.Really want to know if I should be ordering my real touch flowers or what the resort will be offering. Angel's accents, the company I want to order flowers from if need be is already booked through December! Unreal!

AcutieRN, no I haven't heard from them at all. We are still waiting on confirmation of our wedding date. I just checked this morning and they haven't even charged my card yet. I hope I sent it to the right people. I am a little nervous How long did it take for them to charge your card??
