I am looking into the Last week in March and the first week in April, all depending on prices as well. We want to try and have as many guest come as possible so we are looking for the lowest price we can get. I may be getting ahead of myself but wanted to see if you guys had sent out your STD's? I only ask because I wanted to send mine out a year or so before the wedding so those guest that needed that time to save could...what are your thoughts on it?

Ladies I have a question.. My FI and I have decided on the colors.. Guys: Linen Kacki pants with a brown shirt. I made the boutineres which are shells, with tiffany blue ribbon tied down it. Girls: Brown dresses with a tiffany blue parasol. We also want to incorportate pink and orange in to the wedding?

 

Do you like the way this is set up?? I like the 2 picture on top.. are those the basic chairs??

Like do a row of pink and a row of orange during the ceremony and then in the reception do a table of orange and then a table of pink?? I need some help please

Deesanders, I like the bottom left set-up the most but all of them are very nice. Those aren't the basic chairs, you pay extra for those, I got quoted $10each for the tope left chair in the picture and $12 for the bottom left chair in the picture. I love the colors! I think it's a good idea to incorporate bright colors as well, since we are going to have a tropical background! Oh and a bride actually asked me to do some STD's and monograms, haha! I have a client already! LOL. She's not a BDW bride, but I showed her my stuff and wants me to design her invites.

 

Soon2bcantelmo, I'm waiting to send my STD's whenever I get my confirmation with the resort but it definitely doesn't hurt to send them out early, it's better to give t he guests a head-up on the costs asap.

I love the second picture on the top w/ the pink and orange. And the pink and orange flower arrangement of the third picture on the top...  if you are going to do flowers. I was told not to do candles it is too windy.

Thanks for your opinions ladies. I was just wondering if the colors would all go together and I like the tying of the bows.. it's something different then what every bride has, you know??

I found this forum around page 13 and you all have been SUPER helpful, but I thought it would be time to chime in! I have chosen NOW as my wedding location. I am going to send in my $100 deposit in the next few days. My wedding is set for October 2011. I am way behind all of you in the planning, so do not worry! It will all get done.

 

Question (not sure who posted about this): these passport wedding invitations!! LOVE LOVE that idea. So fun! Can I have some more info on that? Are you making them yourself or having a company do it?

 

Also, what are your thoughts on:

 

beach vs gazebo ceremony?

dinner location? buffet or seated?

 

any input would be great! i am so indecisive and wish if i had enough money to hire a wedding planner

deesanders, well since she's a friend of mine I'm just having her pay the cost of any materials that I would need, I figured if I'm really serious about this I might as well try it out first and see if I can pull ot off! wish me luck! I definitely like the bow idea, it's different. I might borrow it! you should definitely post your project, that's what this place is for =)

Just wanted to share some pics of my dress on, I took the pics myself-- probably not the best way to capture pics but I couldn't wait to meet with my friend next week! lol. The bust is waaay big, hopefully I can have that adjusted it's long so i didn't bother taking a picture of the length. Let me know what you girls think!
