Are they saying you can get the 6th room on arrival.. Yall might want to double check, because my TA and saying they won't credit it to me until I get back.. boo!!! I wonder if she is just saying that???

Acutie, That might be the best rate ever!!! I hope you don't mind forwarding me that contract so I can have my TA match it? I understand if  you need to block some infor on it, I just need the part with the rate and what it includes and also the 6th room free? Really hope  you don't mind doing that... I would appreciate it sooo much! and congrats looks like it's all working out for you! Oh and the kids rate I got is 0-3 yr olds are free, then older would be $47. So your kiddos group should be free! For air rates, she told me for April 2012 travel it should be released by May 1st. I will double check for you on that though, you're date is only a week later than mine so I don't know how much of a difference that should make as far as when it would be released... Maybe you can also get a guarantee of getting the lower rate down the road, even if you book early?

Deesanders, Thanks for letting me know about Ocean we are having about 5-7 kids traveling with us, their rates are under $100 a night that's why we are strongly considering them... we'll see how it pans out with the air included. I know it's kinda hilarious when they started to argue about the $6000(?) dress or was it more, I love mspiggypigpig! And she is a great source of info when it comes to the makers! For the DJ 2012, as far as I know they have that listed on their pricing as being changed over to a soloist for the ceremony.

Forgot to tell you when you can get the credit. What I was told is that you don't get the credit until after it is paid in full, because they have to average the amount of nights for the free rooms... So I would have to find a way to explain to the guests how they would be paying more first then get credit back? Why does it all have to be so confusing and complicated?

She did not say when we would be credited, but I will ask her right away.  We were planning on paying for out mother's rooms anyway so that is why I didn't ask ahead of time, it is just a bonus that it worked out that we will have 2 free rooms.  Also, are you guys hearing about the free room upgrade with every 10?My TA said she would ask about that too. 

JB, thanks for the info on the kids. She sent me back the same quote as you had for kids.  She said I won't have an actual contract to sign for about a week or two.  She is going out of town.  I spoke with her by phone too so I don't even have an email to send you. So sorry. I will send it over as soon as I have it in my hands. I hope you can stay with NOW too, I really understand about pricing though. It is very complicated!  That is good to know about flight pricing coming in May...I will have to set up some alerts to keep me advised of pricing.  I hope to find some for around $600 closer to end of summer, right now they are 900-1200 out of KC and Denver! It is cheaper for us to fly to Chicago the night before and leave from Chicago, but that uses up another day of vacation:(

Oh one more thing,

This makes me a bit nervous...I still haven't received confirmation on my date from Emy even though they charged my card the $99 and she said she received it that day and she would send me confirmation soon.  My TA has been emailing her daily asking for the confirmation letter so we can block rooms and today she sent a response to both of us that if I would fill out the paperwork and send in my money she would hold my date for us and send us the letter!!!!!What in the world?  I sent her the email she sent me saying she had my money and info right back but she still hasn't responded. That was like 2 hours ago.  Now I am worried....

As far as rates go, they won't give me daily rates so I don't know if I am getting a crappy rate or not, but I am going in August which should be lower since it's hurricane season!! I am averaging about 135 a day if I calculate it but that is including taxes also.. Is your 117 including taxes?? If so do you mind sending it to me also???

Acutie, I am on waiting mode anyway so no big deal if you can't send me the info until your TA gets back... Again great job with your rate! If I can get that with the promo and book 20, it'll be a good deal... especially since we have a big chunk of guests planning on staying a week!

 

I would be freaking out about the confirmation! That's crazy! But if you have it charged on your card and you can show them that, then I don't think you should stress about it too much... They're official "opening" as Now Larimar is getting close so they are probably swamped with the transition right now... Relax, you have documentation of everything so it would be easy to sort everything out, it's just the waiting to hear back that's going to be hard!

Also, gas prices suck right now! I really do hope that the prices go down!!

 

My TA also did say if we pay for the insurance, which most of our guest prob will since it's hurricane season.. she said that if the room rates drop, they will rebook us at the cheaper rate and give us that money back.

JB I am going to have to ask her about free 6th room again.. because it's kind of pointless after the fact.

 

I am really leaning towards NOW!!! I don't want to leave you girls!

I just heard back from my TA, the free room credits would be applied to the final payment. So it's not after the fact... This was a good question Deesanders, this is good info to know!
