Hi All!!! I just confirmed with my WC (Francina) that Now Larimar has just released that policy.

I already booked with HDC, I think we should make a formal claim to the resort for all the brides that already booked with an outside photographer. What do you think? We can send an email copying all the involved brides.

soo.. i am late to the game here....

Even if we already booked like last year, and was told we were allowed ... we no longer are? Is that even legal?

 

No one has conacted me with any changes, and i have my photographer paid in full.. with no refunds...

 

And I made a point to ask them BEFORE I booked....

Wonder if Sunwing will allow me to change resorts? But I guess good luck finding a resort with a wedding date available
Can anyone comment on if this is possible with sunwing, or if you have done it before.

 

We are all booked and paid (9 rooms in the preferred club)... I dont mind having to pay a change fee.. beats losing the thousands I paid for pictures

Same here Susan.  I had confirmed it with Silvia before I booked HDC.  They can't just go back on that!??!  Like a previous poster said, if they want to change policies for upcoming brides, that is all fine and dandy, but not for those of us who have already booked (MONTHS in advance) and paid deposits!  It's ridiculous!!!

Agreed!!!! If you ladies have the ok in writing from them, hold onto it!!!! They really do not want to lose business or have bad word of mouth!

I'm curious to find out what Carrol (an earlier poster) finds out today... She said she was going to phone them and give them an earful on our behalf!  So hopefully they change the policy to just affect NEW brides booking.
