Is this dress too over the top for a DW?

So I went dress shopping yesterday looking for a mermaid style simple dress and instead I fell in love with this amazing dress. Be honest do you think its too over the top for a DW or should I just go with whatever I want. Just as an aside its actually ALOT less hot than mermaid styles I tried on because you its airy underneath rather than your legs being stuck together.

Wow, that is a beautiful dress!  My dress is similar and I love it.  I didn't care if it was okay for a beach because I thought it's my wedding day and I will wear whatever I want to!  I think if you love the dress then go for it!

It's your wedding day, you look beautiful, there are no DW rules, it's all about making you and FI happy! Are you getting married on the beach or in a gazebo? My only concern would be making sure that the bridal shop can pack it properly to carry on the plane and not be too wrinkled, and verifying how much it will cost to have the resort steam or iron the dress.

Thanks for your opinions. Getting the dress there there is a concern for me. I do have a hoop on in this pic so the dress isn't that big. But I would pay to get it steamed no matter what the cost cuz the dress is so beautiful!

heyyy! i totally remember and recognize you from weddingbee!! only i think you posted all your dresses.  i definitely think this one is gorgeous, but i would be worried about hot it is.  but if you say its airy underneath, then why not?   the contrast of fancy on beach is gorgeous!
