Anyone getting married in USA at court house first before DW ceremony?

Hi Everyone,

 

My FI and are looking to get married in the USA at a courthouse before heading to our DW in Jamaica.  We want to do this to avoid paperwork and any issues in Jamaica have a US license.  I am not changing my name before we go down there until we come back.  We will still go through the ceremony and process in Jamaica for our parents who wont know that we got married in the states.  We were just going to skip the signing of documents at the wedding, but the resort treats this as a renewing of the vows and not a wedding, so we are going through the whole process anyway.  Anyone done this before?

There are many BDW brides who have had a legal ceremony before their destination wedding. Try searching for "legal ceremony" or something like "getting married before dw" & you should find a ton of threads that already discuss this topic.
