I have a question regarding rooms.

I know that there is a 3 max occupancy but that includes children? What if a couple has two children, would they be allowed to stay in a room together? My father in law has four small kids who would have to stay in a room with him, is that even possible to do? This is very confusing.

Hey Jessica,

We had similar issues and my TA was able to simply put the extra children (over and above the 2 per room) and place them into some of the other rooms that only had 2 adults occupying it.  It is really only for paperwork purposes and for when you arrive and check in.  After that, I highly doubt the hotel will follow your Father-in-law around to make sure he only has two kids staying in his room with him, lol.  So that's an option you can do:)

I have a date confIrmed with my credit card holding it (November 28, 2014). I am living in Fort Mcmurray Alberta. Most guests will be flying from Alberta and Newfoundland. Just heard back from a local TA who specializes in destination weddings. She says that not many Canadian all inclusive travel companies offer packages to Riu resorts. She can fly us out of Edmonton but any fort mac guests will have to book their own travel from here to there. And they won't be offering flights from Newfoundland until sometime in 2015!!! Since the date is over a year away they don't have any rates right now but they provided her with aprojected rate for November 2014. from Edmonton it will cost $2088. I am worried that with adding flights from here and guests flying from Newfoundland that this resort will end up being unaffordable for my guests. My TA is recommending switching resorts but I have my heart set on ROR.

What did past ROR brides end up paying?

What were future ROR brides quoted?

Any fall 2014 quotes?

Any ROR newfie brides? How did you deal with flight issues?

Can anyone recommend a different TA?

Maybe I'd be better off doing it without one?

I used air Canada vacations last summer for Mexico and they were awesome. would really like to use them again but they don't offer packages to Riu. sad.gif

Hey There MrsBrowntoBe,

I ended up going with Sunwing for my group rate, and my guests and I are paying $1436 each including taxes (Adult rate based on Double Occupancy).  Kids under 12 and Triple occupancy are less.  I'm not too sure if you have a Sunwing in AB, but it doesn't hurt to call to find out;)  I am getting married on Nov 14th/2013 and I had to wait until Jan-Feb 2013 before they could give me a proper quote. The kicker is that the price has since dropped, but I'm already locked in so I can't take advantage of the new price...boo!

Good luck, I hope you find a great deal!!!

Thanks Yassy. We do has Sunwing in Alberta just not in my city so guests will have to fly another airline to those locations. Which isn't a huge deal since seat sales are generally easy to come by. Ugh really, only 8 months before? I guess my save the dates will be the nudge to my guests to start saving early. I got a good deal too but they were only projected rates. The actual ones could be much better. I'm not locking in this soon. Doesn't make sense.
