I was just thinking...I received an email back from Jan's Flowers with their pricing list and I notice they offer the decorated 4-poster Chuppahs and Arches that they can set up directly on the beach...there is an extra cost for them ($180 and up), but this could be another option for you to still have your wedding on the beach for the date/time that you want if you are unable to get the beach gazebo.  I would think that the resort would still set up the chairs for you for free, and hopefully they have more than one person for the Officiant.  I'm seriously thinking of forfeiting the beach gazebo myself and going with an Arch as the pictures look so beautiful!  Anyway...just a thought;)

Thanks for the info! I looked into this, But FI isnt a fan. lol

I think I am going to have to just bite the time. and have the wedding at 1 so I can have it at the beach gazebo.  They sent me a few pictures of the Lagoon Gazebo AND for me personally it is just not where I want to have my wedding. The lagoon water just looks gross. It looks like the lake water here at home lol If I wanted that i would have goT married here at the lake.

I have to send them a email today to advise them what I am going to do. They asked what else can be done to rectify this. I think I am going to mention a few complimentary things that they should be giving us. I feel like them saying Im sorry isnt cutting it.

I hope no one else has this problem as its a night mare!

Can I ask what model Bose you bought and was it loud? We are doing the after dinner party at the beach and do not want to pay for the DJ either! We did find a Mic (Imic) That can be used with your iphone or ipod so that should be good enough. Does anyone know if you are allowed to play low music at the semi private dinner? Thanks!
Sorry, I'm not too sure which model it was as a friend was kind enough to let us borrow it. But I know he purchased it sometime in 2011 if that helps. It was quite loud, my sister's bf who is a dj was really impressed with it. Now we were at the Plantation so I'm not too sure how the sound would be at the beach. Maybe you can test it outdoors just to see how the sound is. Hope this helps!

Was it wireless? If so, it was likely the portable BOSE system, retails for 299.99...if not they have other models similar.

I am very excited about the wedding in Jamaica but I am having a dilemma because most of my guests (family) only speak Spanish... I wonder If there is any way to make the ceremony in Spanish or somehow make it so that they don't feel left out from the ceremony. Any suggestions on what to do?
Sorry for the typos.

Hello Brides!, I am getting married June 1, 2013 at ROR and was wondering after reading quite a few blogs if anyone could give me some pointers. I have just heard from Keisha for the first time 3 days ago. It looks like there is a lot that I still need to be aware of what to expect. I have sent her a list of questions but am pretty much in the dark. I have not booked a photographer, reception, spa appointments, etc. I have been waiting to hear what is next. The link she sent me of extras didn't work so I asked if she could send it again. Anyone have any advice of what I should be doing at this point? Thank you!!
