ROR Brides (Riu Ocho Rios)

Recommended Posts

We had the steel drum band - they play for ~30 mins while everyone is getting seated (which unfortunately you don't get to hear as the bride), and then for 15-20 mins after the ceremony.

Everyone LOVED it, I wish I could have heard more. I think it was well worth the money. We had the free wedding and the free dinner so we felt that was an upgrade that we wanted to do.

Here's a picture of them:

Those are awesome pics!

I just heard back from Keisha and she said the ceremony is only 15 minutes long! It seems a little short but if it is not a religious ceremony I think that is not bad, I'll just walk really really slowly down the aisle so it lasts longer. lol

I have booked the Plantation Restaurant and I have been trying to find pics of this set up. Others keep saying to search the forum but I can't seem to find pics of it anywhere. Anyone have any?

Oh one more thing... I got the 5pm slot on my wedding day (it was the only time left), anyone else have that time booked? It seems to late and Keisha said the dinner starts at 6:30.

Anyone out there have the same thing? It just seems like a tight timeline.

Thanks,

Kel

It may be cutting it close but I think it will depend on how many pictures you take after the ceremony.  Our photographer took pics of our group (ours was at 4pm) and then each couple who was there so that they could go on and have drinks before our dinner.  My husband and kids took quite a few more pictures until around 6:15.  At least it will not be hot for your ceremony.

The picture above is what our table looked like for our plantation reception. We took the fans, petals and gems with us from home and our bridesmaid and a few helpers set it up for us. The cake was over in the corner on a little table which was also decorated the same.

Thanks! A friend of mine who is into numbers and astrology said to me jokingly " what if you got married 9-10-11 since u started dating 6--7-08"  I laughed at her because we weren't even engaged yet.  but though about it and said hey... why not? LOL
