Thanks so much, Sharon. I'm so pleased with it! Etsy is my addiction. 

 

I had my dress fitting but I left ALL my accessories at home . I lost some inches so I could sit down with ease lol but when I put on my bra.. I had back fat. A friend told me to get a different bra and go back and try it on.   That will be the goal this weekend.

I went crazy on Etsy too! Love it! Most my stuff is from there...actually mostly all of it is!

 

I left my shoes & jewelry at home on my 2nd fitting...so of course my third I was well prepared.

Oh, I dont think I will be sitting much in my dress. The top is hard to move so when I sit I have to sit very straight! lol!

Are you wearing a bra with your dress? I was going to but then decided to just go with double cups(dont have much there!) and they fit perfectly in the dress. It felt much easier than dealing with a bra. And the woman at my dress shop said to have someone sort of smooth out the "back fat" because of the way the dress hugs and the corset back. So she smoothed it down (if that makes sense) and it worked!

My seamstress did this for me too (the smoothing).  It makes such a huge difference in the look of the dress from the back!

 

Going to pick up my dress today!!!!  YAY!!!!

YAY! I pick up my dress tonight!

We leave SUNDAY & I am not ready! Had my bachelorette on Saturday which was a blast so of course Sunday was pretty much a wash. Cant get much done laying on the couch all day lol!

 

So is everyone doing the legal work here in the states?

We are waiting for our license to come in and have an appointment scheduled for May 9th to get legally married the day after we come back. BUT it is after our Mexican wedding date May 3rd & I am a little upset that its after the fact. I really wanted to do this before we left but I guess it doesnt really matter...

Yay for picking up your dress tonight!! We are doing the legal stuff here, too. Now that you mention it I suppose I should get on that if I want it to be done before we leave in 2 weeks!! YIKES!

We are getting married in the DR and we are doing all the legal stuff there...the hardest thing we had to do was gather paperwork together and get it translated/legalized, but it wasn't too bad...

 

Mexico, I definitely agree with doing legal stuff at home...especially since they want a blood test done (and I've heard it's done in your hotel room...the microbiologist in me is screaming No Way!!! LOL)

 

We're all getting really close ladies!!!!  Just 15 days till the wedding!!!

The dress! Yes! I bet it's awesome.

 

We are doing our legal stuff in Jamaica. It was surprisingly easy, we sent copies of our passports and birth certificates to our WC and she did the rest. May 13 is only 19 days away!

we have a friend marrying us in Mexico, and to our surprise, he became ordained. so I think all we have to do is put a different date on the marriage certificate (one where we we're in the US), and we should be good to go.

 

we're picking up our marriage certificate tomorrow afternoon. I'm hoping I'll have more clarity then.

YAY everyone...the countdown is on! 5 days woot woot!

 

Well I got my dress last night and let me tell you...its gonna be a b*tch carrying that sucker through the airport!! I am short and its big & long and very awkward to carry. I was walking to my car & was laughing to myself. How does everyone plan on carrying their dress?!?! Are you going to fold it over your arm or hold the bottom up somehow? I will have to figure this out! FI said he will not carry it because it is in a pink travel bag...
