Congrats and welcome to the board!!!  This site has just about any answer you ever need and is so full of great ideas all from DW brides! 

 

We are doing an AHR (at home reception) 3 weeks after we get back, it was the only date that worked for us other than November so if we had a choice it would have been about a month apart.  I don't think it's too far apart at all!  I'd probably try to organize most of it before hand though so youre not coming home and frantically putting together another large party (just my type A personality peaking out here)...  Where is Secrets Maroma Beach?!

Congratulations and welcome!!! I am getting married May 13 and our AHR is May 26, it will only be 1 week after we return from MX but 2 weeks after some of our family will return. I agree with Starfish0512, I wanted to have it a little later but schedules wouldn't allow it so I plan to have everything ready to go for the AHR before leaving for MX.

Thank you Samantha88k and Starfish0512 for your response. Congrats to you also! I think we are going to try to get a dates about 1 month after. We start looking at halls next week. Secrets Maroma is located in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. I've never been there but the resort looks beautiful and I heard a lot of wonderful things about it.
