Anyone shipping any packages to the resort prior to the wedding??

After reading several negative reviews regarding shipping packages from the US to resorts in Mexico, I am way too nervous to take a chance and risk my items not showing up. I really wish I could send at least one box of stuff down there since I have so much stuff I want to bring. We live in San DIego which is just miles away from the border so FI and I were thinking maybe we could cross the border and send a package through DHL in Mexico to our resort in Cabo. I was thinking it would then be a shipment within mexico which would avoid going through customs. Not too sure what the rules are on this though.... Just curious, has anyone done anything similar?

I am faced with the same problem.  I would love to ship a box with welcome bags and other misc decor,down next month because I feel like I am bringing so much with me.  If anyone has any advice, please let me know.
