Anyone not having ANY guests?

Hey there, I'm going through the same situation. I too am getting married at the Royal Cancun at the end of September, and none of my guests are going to attend. I'm really bummed, as many of them said they planned on attending, but waited until now to start inquiring about pricing and now have found they can't afford it. Oh well, I'm trying not to seem too disappointed. I'm sure we will still enjoy ourselves immensely, but I did always want my family and close friends at my wedding. Any advise on ways to make the best out of this situation? How was your wedding? Did anyone end up coming afterall? A couple of people have said they still want to try to attend, but I don't want to get my hopes up.

Hey Gals,

I'm in the same situation too. It's a bummer when lots of people say they'll be interested in coming knowing the prices and such since I was upfront with them about the costs and then having them back out when it's actually time to leave the first deposit. I still don't have my guestlist confirmed and the first deposit is due Aug 18th. Now I'm having trouble figuring out who with room with who, since I have an uneven number of guests and I don't want to throw a gal and a guy who have never met before into the same room for 7 nights. I had originally wanted one big party at my wedding (private reception with DJ and light-up dance floor) but now with just 13 people (hoping no one else backs out), that doesn't make much sense (and the Royal Cancun) won't even allow a private reception for such a small group.

But regardless, I'm still determined to have a gorgeous beach wedding. I know we'll all have a positive experience regardless of who is actually able to attend. Just think of all the beautiful wedding pictures to be cherished for a lifetime. =)
