Hey everyone...I have been following this website for quite a while and I thought I should introduce myself. I am planning my wedding for December 2012. We have narrowed it down to Jamaica or Punta Cana but we haven't choosen a resort 100% yet.

I too am December 2012 bride and will be getting married in Punta Cana at the Majestic Colonial Resort and then spending our honeymoon at the Hard Rock. Congrats and happy planning!!

Hi everyone, We are planning to get married in December 2012, and love an idea of getting married on 12/12/12. But I am having hard time to decide on a resort. We are trying to decide between Cuba, Dominican and Mexico. I am going for this countries because some of our family members will have a tight budget. Does anyone have good advice on what is affordable and still good.

Congrats and we will be sharing the same wedding day. I can't tell you anything about Cuba or Mexico but I can tell you that there are quite a few resorts in Dominican Republic that have decent rates. We are having our wedding at the Majestic Colonial and not having a private reception since we will only have about 20 people. But the rates for the resort were 740. per person for 7 nights, and then airfare on top of that. I have also heard that the NOW Larimar has been offering some great rates lately....Just make sure that you pay close attention to what the wedding packages offer especially if you want to have a private reception...add-ons can add up..
