Is anyone considering bringing their own photographer?

We didn't even consider it. Even if you book your absolute favourite local Jamaican photographer with their most expensive package, it will still be so much less than bringing your own, and you'll still have amazing pictures. They know the resort, they're comfortable and at home, I think they would be able to do the best work. Just my opinions.

I know...I'm debating. We know a aspiring photographer and videographer, he has done some really good work and he is willing to shoot our wedding and take candid shots of our guest while at the resort for 3 days and we will only need to cover his travel expenses which comes to about $1500. I think that it's a great deal but I'm just nervous that he may miss things. I think if we go that route I will have him study different portfolios so that he is aware of what it is we are looking to do.
