What to eat the days before the wedding?

Great thread!!

I am a fitness freak so I know I'll be at the gym the days before the wedding and I'll be dragging my girls with me.  They have yoga, cycle, meditation, rock climbing wall and a whole gym.  I am definitley looking forward to getting my workout fix while I'm there.  I also agree with enjoying things in moderation...even though I have a hard time with it sometimes.

After the wedding my workouts will consist of a lot of post wedding sex for cardio!!  That should do the trick!!  LMAO

LOL!!!!!! Good idea!

No need for pills.  Eat foods that have natural diuretic properties.

Copied from a site I found by googling

Foods can cause you to retain water. Such things as excess amounts of salt and sugar can make you retain water and inadequate amounts of protein. Many foods can act as a diuretic and will aid in the production of urine. This will help you remove fluids from your body. Remember to always use moderation and caution when using a diuretic.

Apple cider vinegar -- is a natural diuretic and helps maintain potassium levels.

Artichoke -- natural diuretic

Asparagus -- contains asparagines, a chemical alkaloid which helps flush the kidneys.

Beets -- attacks floating body fat and fatty deposits.

Brussels sprouts -- cleanse the cell and stimulate thought kidneys and pancreas.

Cabbage -- breaks up fatty deposits.

Carrots -- speeds up metabolic rate and helps remove fat and waste from the body.

Cranberry juice -- aids in the removal of excess fluid from the body.

Cucumber -- stimulate the kidney and aid in the removal of uric acid.

Dandelion And Dandelion Leaf -- natural diuretic, and leaf key aides in the detoxification of the urinary tract.

Green tea -- natural diuretic and has been used for centuries in China.

Fennel -- has a calmative and diuretic property.

Horseradish -- speeds up the metabolism and helps eliminate fluid.

Lettuce -- aids in metabolism and flushing of toxins from the system.

Nettle -- has natural diuretic properties.

Oats -- contains silica in natural diuretic.

Tomatoes -- are rich in vitamin C that aids metabolism in the release of water from the kidneys.

Watermelon -- natural diuretic helps increased urination.

Just make sure you enjoy yourself while at the resort...do not deprive yourself.  I would just be a little more careful at what you decide to eat...and in moderation!!  And drink lots of water because it will help flush you out.

We were at our resort for 3 days prior to our wedding so I just limited the amount of food I ate at each meal(our resort didn't have buffets, but it did serve 5 course meals, so I would skipped the appi and dessert for the days before the wedding) and upping the water intake was really necessary with the heat and all the rich food we ate. If you do have buffets at your resort, be wary of any meats or dairy that has been sitting out for awhile on the buffet. Getting sick for your wedding day is worse than gaining a few pounds!  My brother missed our whole reception after eating a hamburger poolside the day before!!

I was definatly concerned about this also! I keep reading threads about girls eating and drinking so much they put on 5-10 pounds within the first few days of the wedding and their dresses being super TIGHT. I think youll just find me underneath a palm tree on the beach for the first few days... lol!
