Anyone having dried lavender buds?

A friend of mine gave me an awesome idea! Instead of the traditional bubbles or birdseed, have dried lavender buds for guests to throw during the recessional. It is more fragrant too :-)

 

We are filling little organza bags with them and sitting them on guest chairs along with programs.  Anyone else do this?

I haven't heard of anyone doing that but sounds awesome! I lovet he smell of lavender! If you have any left over maybe you could put them in their OOT bags to keep their suitcases smelling fresh or leave them on their pillows for a good nights sleep!

Where do you plan on getting these? I really like the idea but am worried about bringing them over the boarder (I'm in Canada getting married in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico)
