Kool Beach Club - Food/Menu

Hi Everyone!

 

Curious to hear if any of you have had or are having your reception at Kool Beach Club in PDC. I'm having mine there in May, but unfortunately I haven't been able to do a site visit, so while I have their menu options, I haven't tasted the food and am having trouble deciding which dishes to choose.

 

Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated - thanks!!

Hi!  I am having my reception there in November and going down this weekend.  I will be doing a tasting and will share my thoughts and take some photos as well!

AshelyNicole -I just posted pics of Kool from my scouting trip last year and was asking about the food. I didn't see this thread when I posted under the other one. I think we are probably doing the 1/2 beef, 1/2 fish option. We can't go back down until March to taste the menu so I'm very curious about your thoughts.

 

v1v2v3 - What day are you getting married? I'm May 28th. So close.  When we had lunch there the tacos, rice, etc.  were all tasty. The sushi was just O.K

Shereneg - I'm getting married on May 6th. Can't believe its coming up so fast! I still have so many details to take care of!

v1v2v3 - I know! My FI and I got engaged December 27th of 09 and for the longest it seemed like the wedding would never actually get here.  Now that I'm getting cake and florist quotes in its all starting to feel real. This is when we finally get to start on the fun stuff!

This is awesome! I am also having my wedding reception at Kool on may 21st! Also engaged in December 09!

Would love to hear reviews from anyone who has tried the food.  It's really hard to decide from here. My wedding planner is also suppose to send me pictures from a tasting there this weekend.  Once I have them I'll be sure to post them.

Who is your planner?  We had the tasting with our planner, Maria Tripaldi, and she mentioned she was sending photos to another couple who were planning on having their wedding there.

 

The food was great, I'm waiting on uploading the photos to post the full review, but will post the link here once I get it up!

@ PaperBagPrincess - How funny! We are sooooo close! Are you having your ceremony at Kool or elsewhere? We were going to have it on the pier that runs between Gran Porto and The Royal but I was getting tired of waiting on the city to okay it.  We just decided to do it on the beach at Kool. I'm a little nervous since all of those beds and palapas are out there, but hopefully it won't be too noticeable.

 

@ AshleyNicole - I'm so glad you liked the food! That makes me feel better.
