Help with travel mugs

I bought these travel mugs at Walgreens. I would like to somehow put everyones name on theirs so they do not get confused on who's is who's. I looked into engraving them, but it is too costly. I am wondering if anyone knows of an alternative method. The color part feels almost like metal of some type. Maybe some sort of label, not sure if it would stick though....

Any thoughts or ideas??

i was going to say try a label....or permanent marker on the bottom you could try paint pens on the black part but it may come off after a good washing.

I'm thinking some sort of label, but go with a plastic one so it doesnt wash off

hmm - i wonder if a "puffy paint" would stay on. or if you can engrave w/a home kit or something.

If all else fails a wide tip Sharpie will work and won't wash off, just get whoever has the best handwriting to put the names on. Plus it will only cost you like $3.

How about plastic sticker with your logo on it to put in the colored area, and then just Sharpie their names on the bottom?

 

Our mugs will have handles and I'm thinking about getting different colored ribbon to tie a small piece on each handle for each person to help keep them straight.

You could also go to a craft store and get some of those alphabet sheets in the scrapbooking section then spell out each person's name. They come in some cute colors and fonts and they stick really well.
