Bridal shower? Who are you inviting?

So my plan was this: Send invites to our DW to all of the people we REALLY want to be there, then later send invites to the AHR to everyone (since we havent picked a date for it yet)...So my question is, who gets invites to the shower? Everyone, or is that rude? This is perplexing me!

 

I'd love to know how you girls are approaching this! Thank you in advance!!

I'm only inviting ladies that I have invited to the wedding.  But we sent out invites to the whole family - boarding pass invites - and one of the passes had the AHR info on it.  We figured most people won't show to the wedding in Hawaii, but Fi didn't like the idea of only inviting some people to the wedding and everyone to AHR.  He said if we did it that way it looks like we're just asking for gifts.

We are only inviting about 30 to jamaica and having the AHR two weeks after we return. I am inviting the girls that i invited AHR to the shower too
