Male photog for BD session?

I e-mailed my photographer's wife today see if they knew of any female photographer's that do boudoir sessions. She talked to her husband who said that he would love to do it. They are going to look for a female photog though. I really like David's work. He did our engagement session, and he is coming to shoot the wedding, so a part of me would consider having him do the boudoir session. Have any of you girls had male photogs for this?

i think courtney might be the only one so far on here that had a male - but Leigh was the primary photog, so they were both there. but Jackie is having Juan do her b-pics. i'd totally have a male photog, assuming i felt comfortable with him - like not sure i'd call some random guy from Craig's list - but the guy doing my wedding who i've formed a relationship with, probably!

My friend had a male photographer do a nude pregnant session with her. She took her sis with her and had no problem. The guy was a friend tho.

 

Martin (my FI) said he'd feel weird tho if I told him that I had a guy shoot my BD photos...

hi brittney - i got your pm. did you check boudoirphotographers.net? if its a male you already know and feel comfortable with i personally would be ok with it. it definately would be harder if you didnt know them. of course you could always have a girlfriend go with you too.

I don't think Pete would feel weird if I told him that David shot the pictures. We have been working with him since February. He has a wife and children. It's not like he is a creepy guy that is trying to look at girls in sexy lingerie. I bet Paula, his wife, would come to the shoot too.

i say do it! you're obviously comfortable with him, and he's already doing your wedding.
