Here's the menu options for the steakhouse and Mexican restaurant if you are having a wedding for more than 25 people or a private dinner.  When I made my own menu's I cleaned up the English/Spanish translation a little bit.

My fiancee and I are planning a wedding at this resort. Originally April 2011 but since we only got engaged a month and a half ago we realized its a bit too tight to plan all the little details that come along with a destination wedding so now we are thinking June. For any women that have already been married here do you have an suggestions? We were thinking we would love a private reception so we can have dancing outdoors including a fire dancer but also want speeches too! Some of the forums I have read advise semi-private is more then fine since you still have most of the restaurant anyway and can do one dance at your reception however we really liked the idea of dancing under the stars vs renting a nightclub (unless the nightclub is outdoors?). Does anyone have pics of the Mexican restaurant or any private reception set ups? Any helpful comments or ideas?

Does anyone know if you have to wear a wristband? If so, can we take it off on our wedding day????!! I hope so!

That is an excellent question.  I do believe that wristbands are required but wearing them on the ceremony day...that would be rude!

I'm planning a wedding possibly at the Riu for November 2011.   How was the weather?

 

I'm also trying to get an estimated cost... it seems like the cost for the reception/dinner add up quickly if you have a big group.
