Well that makes me feel much better.  Thanks!  I didn't recall seeing her name on this site before, so I was worried she may be a brand new WC, and that made me a bit nervous...haha!  Thanks, Lindsayraz!

I found out today that Simone is no longer with the Grand Palladium.  But, I must say that Omeshia is far more responsive and pleasant.  So, don't worry too much.  I'm sure that everything will be fine!

wow i had no idea simone isnt with them anymore. I just got an email from simone last week.  she was my coordinator and I just sent an email to her address today, hopefully i get a reply from a new one.  simone wasn't very responsive or detailed with her emails. 

 

I had emailed her about the ceremony, I want to customize our vows (read our own, and have to officiator read some traditional words).  Anyone have any issue with arranging this?

Simone told me months ago that this sort of thing for customized vows is no problem.  But, I have heard that you can't really expect it to go exactly as you plan with the officiant in the ceremony.  I would make sure you go over it again and again if it is something that really matters to you.  Hope this helps!

Advice/ Help Needed: Ceremony Music

 

Omeshia sent me the music request form, and they are asking that we have songs for:

 

Processional (Normal, and of course we already had our song selected for this)

Bridal March (Normal and selected)

Kiss of the Couple- here is where I'm confused- see note below

Signing of Documents- not sure what song we want here and need suggestions- see note below

Recessional (Normal and selected)

 

Here is the issue.  We have already selected songs for the seating of the guests, processional, bridal march, and recessional.  The recessional song is a special song for us.  I spoke to Omeshia about this today, and she said they play the kiss of the couple song after the officiant says "you may now kiss the bride" and play it for the kiss of the couple, then stop the song.  Doesn't that seem like a very short amount of time to play a song?  She said they then stop the music and we will walk over to sign our documents, and they will play that song.  She said that we do not even need to do a recessional, or select a recessional song if we do not want. 

 

So, do we use our recessional song for the signing of the documents?  Or do we pick a playful, more "jamaican" style song for the signing of the documents.  I asked Omeshia if we have to pick a kiss of the couple song, and she said no, we do not have to, but they recommend it.  Is there something I am missing here?
