Any teacher newbies?

Hello, My name is Heidi.  I'm a newbie and a teacher.  My fiance' and I are planning a wedding in Mexico July 2013.  Yes, we chose July because unfortunately, here in Pa, we often lose our days off in June due to weather.  Furthermore, once we hit August I'm back in my classroom setting it back up, so July is our best time to go.

Hi, im not a teacher but my best friend is and she will be in my wedding party. we r getting married 2014. We dont want to do march break or summer. Apparently for ontario teacher she would have to write a letter to the board asking for time off. Has anyone done this for a wedding or heard of anyone doing it? How likely would it be for them to say yes.

I am a Newbie as well as a   teacher, and I will be getting married during Xmas break at Iberostar Rose Hall Suites on Jan 2. Everyone loved the week we picked as we will leave on December 29th well after Xmas....and be there to have a New Yrs celebration and then the wedding. So far we have 35 ppl so should be fun!

I am also a teacher planning to get married next year. It's my first year at a new district and didn't want to start taking off during school so a summer vacation was a must! Our date is set for July 25, 2014 at the Barcelo Maya Palace

I am an occasional teacher and my MOH is a teacher as well in Ontario. She was told, especially with everything going on in the province, that she will most likely never get permission to get the extra time off. To not even bother trying.

Having to change our wedding to New Years break, its upped the price of our package by about $400.00. Crazy!

Not only that, but now we are having issues with the resort changing prices for the year 2014!
