Help! Attire for our reception back home.....

I REALLY need some insight.  We are having a big reception back home a few weeks after we get married in Maui.  Do I wear my wedding gown??  Or do I go out and buy an evening gown to wear??  What do destination brides do?  Any suggestions, past experiences would be SO helpful.

I am having my AHR exactly a week after we return - FI, me and BMs are all wearing our wedding outfits as for me the AHR was to celebrate with those who couldnt attend.  We are having an evening reception style party x

We were married in November in Dominican Republic and we are having our AHR in January. I am wearing my dress. The Bridesmaids wanted to wear theirs. The Groom and the Groomsmen are going to wear dark suits and we are buying them all matching ties. The Groom felt that it would be too cold in NY for the guys to wear their linen shirts. We cannot wait for the party!!

We are having a very large Reception 4 weeks after our DW and I am definitely wearing my dress, too! In fact, our entire wedding party will be wearing their wedding garb. Good luck deciding what's best for you!

Our AHR is less than 2 weeks after we return and we're both wearing the outfits we were married in to it.
