Shoot I was in Mtl last weekend and only had time for one store so I chose H&M instead... I def need (prob don't really need but def want) some new bathing suits. I did hear that Aqua had some good sales on at Bayshore though! My dress is from Sinders in Carleton Place. I think you told me where yours is from - Stittsville?

Where did you get your dress? If you're still looking for cute swimwear for your week they're having a huge sale at Simon's if you feel like a quick trip to Montreal.

Damn, I was at Bayshore on Sunday and didn't even check, busy outfitting the groom that day. I got my dress in C.P. too but not at Sinders. It was a place called Ashton Station.

Yay my house is officially sold now, officially moving to Edmonton! Scary.

I was worried about my dress fittings, and the store is being super awesome, I'll go in for my "final fitting" right before I move in October.  They are going to keep my dress for me, then the day before I fly out I'm coming back to Winnipeg.  I'll go to the shop first thing in the morning, then we'll do one more fitting, and then come back at the end of the day and they will have made any changes.  They also have some system of packing up your dress. I'm supposed to bring my carry on bag, a sheet and whatever else I'm packing carry on and they take about 15 minutes and pack it up for me.  My friend had this done for a big puffy dress when she got married in Italy, and said it turned out great. Thats kind of a nice alternative to worrying about the closet.  They must roll it or something?

I had one of my guest drop out, due to their sister/daughter having a baby now, during the wedding, but still 31 booked!

One of my BM has her dress (my MoH).  One of my BM is a teacher, so we're still trying to find out if she can make it. Hopefully she can, if she can't - do I ask someone else? Or just have two?

My sister is coming down in two weeks and we're going to find her dress.

Since I'm moving, I'm also having a shower/bachelorette party while my sister is down for my friends here. September will be so busy!

Groom and groomsmen are all sorted out (I think a few GM need shoes yet, but otherwise good).

Just need actual bags and mugs for OOT bags, anda few more hand sanitizers. I'm waiting for more to show up in clearance at Bath and Body Works.  I had some for $0.50, and I was starting to fill up my basket as there was just enough.  As I was doing it, apparently these two other women thought they needed some, so they started grabbing handfuls.  I mentioned that they were for my wedding, and they ignored me! So I'm about 10 short.  At least I can just go buy regular ones if I have to.  I was surprised they thought they needed  handfuls of hand sanitizers because I was.

My wedding coordinator has been amazing, really quick to reply.  We have our locations for Ceremony, Cocktail Hour and Reception all picked out.  We went to a friends wedding and they had a cocktail hour, and FH enjoyed it so much he thought we should have one.  Score!

All in all, I think things are well. Once we get moved and settled, I will hopefully have time to finish everything off!

Hope you ladies are doing well!

I know what you mean!  I've been spending entirely too much $$ on cute dresses and swimming suits for the wedding vacay!  It's hard not too since everything is going on sale at the end of the season!  Dang!!! :)

Here's where I am at:

Dress is in, going for a fitting in September. BM dresses bought. Groom and GMs suits have been ordered. Photography booked. RSVPs are coming in now; last day to RSVP is Sept 24 as our deadline for group booking is mid Oct. So far we are somewhere in the 40ish range (people who have RSVPd yes and/or put down deposits). OOT bags are in progress. Like you girls, I'm waiting on final numbers before buying some things like mugs. I have been spending way too much time - and money - getting my outfits for the week in Mexico together - LOL!

Next up will be finishing the OOTs and getting together things to bring down to with us, like menu cards, favors, etc... Can't wait. It will be here before we know it!

It has been awhile since I have been on here, too busy working making money in order to pay tuition to go back to schoool.  Only one more week of freedom before school starts, Makes me a tad sad!

In regards to planning I have accomplished a few things.  Most exciting was I went today for my first dress fitting!  My dress was at my parents so I couldnt look at it whenever I wanted so I was really excited to see it and put it on again!  I think I fell in love with it more when I put it on!

Other then that I have almost completed our OOT bags ( we have a final number now of 14 guests plus my FI and I).  I completed the tags and the survival kits.  I just have to now iron on transfer our logo to our bags.

We purchased my FIs outfit, groomsman outfit, bridesmaid dress, and my FI ring.

I just have a few projects I want to do shortly, a welcome letter and pre travel brochure to send before we leave.  I'm hoping the next few months fly by, Im getting so exciting!!

Welcome back JayKay! Not that it felt like you were really gone, everywhere I look there's posts from you girl, lol! Sounds like you're ready to go practically. Talk about organized! In the past week I caught up with you a little. We got my FI's outfit, ordered the bridesmaid dresses, and I started my DIY cake topper. Next projects: Centerpieces and wedding rings.

I have a big wooden ampersand (&) and slightly smaller wooden initials which I will paint in our colours. I just need to figure out a way to glue popsicle sticks or something like that so we can shove them into the top of the cake. I should be done and ready to post some pics after labour day :)

Use round dowel rods.  They will be way more sturdy to hold up your topper in your cake.  You can buy them at any craft store for really cheap.
