Moon Palace 2012 Brides

I love to plan but, also want to be done the majority of the big items that will take up time before my son starts back to school in Sept. His homework averages 2-3 hours per night so there is no way that I can do both.  This doesn't even account for Tae Kwon Do or Tennis.

Depending on the blue and the style it's rough.  Try Barney's, Bergdorf, Neiman Marcus, Saks.  Even online as they will ship.  www.Polyvore.com is awesome and will tell you who has the shoe that you are looking for.  Happy Hunting and remember to purchase 1 size up.

I know quite a bit so far.

Yes is is a "real" Catholic ceremony. Mexico is of course predominately Catholic, so yes it is (and a full mass I believe)!

YES Pre Cana is required for all Catholic ceremonies. We have done ours through our local parish, and then have to send all the finalized and "ok'd" paperwork to the priest in Mexico.

You probably will not be able to make the switch since they say they require you to have all you Pre Cana done and paperwork done and turned in at least 6 months prior to your wedding date. BUT it never hurts to ask!

The Lasso is actually a really large Rosary that is placed around the shoulders after vows and during communion I believe. It is definitely a Hispanic, but also a Catholic tradition!

Good luck! I can't wait to hear about your BIG day!

My future father in law was over today and really wants us to have the Catholic ceremony.  He just isn't sure if it is "real" meaning a complete Roman Catholic Ceremony in "gods eyes."

Does anyone know the answers to this?  Would we have to do pre cana before?

We are getting married in 24 days!!! Ahhh

I wonder if we can even make this switch!

ALSO can you do the Lazo Ceremony with a catholic ceremony????

Thanks so much...this is a dress that I have my eye on in my initial research and I couldn't be more happier.  If you can tell the back wasn't zipped all the way up, because the part that would have been sweetheart came well above my chest;-I)  I had lost 9.2 pounds before my fitting and wanted to loose at least 10 more but he said "don't loose too much more, or you'll need alterations."  He did say that toning and tightening will not make a big difference on the dress so thats good.

As far as OOT bags, I estimated to get it out of the way.  So far our 15 room equals 32 people and I know we will have more to book but don't estimate too many.  Since each couple is getting 1 bag and my singles are all getting a bag, I have my TA tell me who book and estimate how many bags I need off of that.  I have tons of extra stuff to make up to 75 bags but have only put together 50.

Thanks so much.  The lasso actually isn't always rosary beads  it can actually be a string of flowers or a shawl or anything that creates a figure 8.  We have been planning on doing the lasso ceremony from the start with the minister so I have done a lot of research on it. I am actually in the process of buying one right now! You can also have a family member or a friend do it.

I am going to ask about switching to the catholic ceremony tomorrow.  I'm not worried about the time frame with Palace. I didn't start booking my wedding until less than six months.  It's basically just getting the paper work scanned over on that end.

What I am nervous about is getting the pre cana done before hand.  I will have to look into that tomorrow. I live in Long Island, NY and out east where I lIve they don't offer it that often.  I know that it was offered back in March because that was when we were supposed to do it when we were getting married in a church.

I should have done this from the start but I was trying to save the money.  Between the $350 for the priest and the $150 for the pre cana that's adding on a lot of $$$!!! I will contact the diocies today.

Thanks again for your help!

UPDATE UPDATE

OK Ladies,  Here' s an update after my post this morning.  First let me say that this was an awesome, amazing, blessing and cherished day.  My grandmother(mom) who raised me from birth got a chance to see her "youngest baby" try on a wedding dress and as she say "in her right mind"  This day meant the world to the both of us.  So meeting the designer in my eyes was icing on the cake!  Although my mom (this is what I have always called my grandmom) is not a crier, she gives this look of approval or disapproval that goes right through you.  Today was the look of approval all the way when it came to the dress with only 1 "not so much" regarding a belt which I did not go with.  Today was the day, that I even had a tear flowing coupled with smiles (my eyes are very chinkie (wrong spelling) and even close when I laugh to hard) you'll see this.

Lazaro is such a sweetheart an I am humbled to have met the man that will design MY DRESS.  How freaking awesome is that?  I tell you, having the last appt at 4 (by my design) was great, as we shut the Bridal Garden in Marlton, NJ with MaryEllen leading the way down.  We were the only people in there after 3:45p and what a grand feeling this is.  The first kicker was when I pulled out my Christian Louboutin and MaryEllen (my consultant) said "Oh My God" I gotta show them.  So out went one shoe LOL.  The dress for my family was dynamite but the shoe for the whole Bridal Garden was the focus.  Lazaro said "Oh I gotta see her walk in these, all 5 inches" My mom said "honey this is like putting on underwear to her, its natural" the whole place fell out laughing as I strut my stuff across the floor.  Okay enough talking

Please note that these are my iPhone pics that do not have a flash.  The Style of dress is Lazaro 3050 to which I purchased in a light ivory. The cost with the belt after a discount was $4800 I saved a total of $1500.
