Moon Palace 2012 Brides

Recommended Posts

Hi ,

I was actually going to go with the live saxaphone or harpist. I was told that they can play most of the traditional songs for weddings. If you want them to play something more up to date, I believe you have to submit a music sheet of that song so that they can read it ahead of time.

We actually decided to save money and go with the ipod/CD option. Hope it flows....

Has anyone heard anything about the live saxophone song options? I can't seem to get any information but want to narrow down our ceremony song choices with FI. Any advice is appreciated! Thank you!

*This is a repost from a different thread so apologies if you are on there also but I want to make sure I don't miss out on good information!

Hi Ladies, I just bought a living social deal for Personalized Stamps. I thought it was a great price given that the company that we are getting our invitations from wants to charge $50 for a personalized stamp!!! Who knew invitations were so expensive???Anyway, I hope that you ladies can use this! Happy Planning! :)

Here is one for Customized Photo book from my Publisher as well. I got the $15 one and will use it at my cocktail hour so people can sign our engagement pictures.  :)

Good Evening Ladies,

This LIving Social Saks 5th Avenue deal was under the wedding section, but I'm not even sure how I can use it towards my wedding at the Hard Rock in Punta Cana.. maybe shoes..?? Anyway, I thought you ladies may find it appealing for your upcoming weddings, welcome parties, etc! :) Enjoy :)

Hello Brides, I am getting married in two weeks, I finally worked all my details out after a very difficult week with communication and annoying mishaps on their part. The only thing that I have not figured out is how to communicate with my other guests once we get there. All of us will not have cell phone access in Mexico. Just wondering if any of you ladies have suggestions that you have thought of yourselves? Or if the resort will give us a list of rooms that we are all staying in? Any information will be super helpful! Thank you!

You can ping wifi from the resort so if a lot of your guests have iphones they can imessage each other, or you can check facebook.  Otherwise when you dial 0 sometimes they will give you room numbers if you tell them you need someones room number to call them and other times they say they will transfer you but won't give you the room number so then when they pick up just ask their room number.  I kept a list of everyone's numbers on my phone.  We had a meeting spot on the beach where everyone went if they were trying to meet up with the group.  I did not try going to the front desk to get a list of everyone's rooms as I felt like that would take hours to get accomplished.  If all your guests book together (ie with your TA like mine did) everyone will be close together and everyone will be in the same sections.  :) Hope this helps! :)

I have a few questions ..

1). Is the 1500 credit per room or per person? Some people who are staying together are not a couple and would not be spending the credits as a couple.

2). IF I have to use a restaurant, are there any that have private patios that you dont have to pay extra for or private rooms? Basically which one would be best to have a reception at ? I want nice and as private as can be.

3) I will probably be able to get the 10 - 19 rooms for 3 nights or 30 room nights = 2 room nights + 1 hour cocktail reception. We paid seperately so wondering if we each get 2 room nights off of our stay?

4). What are the going rates for outside photographers? ladies which is my best bet? I would be so grateful if they would just allow me to buy a day passs.

5). If I am getting married at 2:00. What time should I do the cocktail hour? Then dinner? i hate that it is so damn early!!

1)  The 1500 is per room.  I had a room of 3 girls and they all had to split the 1500.

2) I would recommend the brazilian restaurant- I can't remember the name- they have an outdoor patio area that I bet they would use for the semi private reception.

3) You should be comp'ed for 2 nights after you return.

4) I cannot help you on this as I flew down a local photographer.  It ended up being a better deal for me! :)

5) You could have it right after- cocktail at 3 and then dinner at 4 or you can wait- give your guests time to freshen up and for you to have pictures so start the cocktail at 5 and then the reception at 6.

Let me know if you have any more questions! :)

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi Ladies, I got married at the Moon Palace, totally loved it and specially wanted to share my experience with my hair and makeup team.

I used The Best Moments team and they were just perfect. It was hard for me to choose a good team and I was so happy with the results. if you get married at the Moon or in the Riviera you should book them. They really are the best in the area.
